“let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the highrock for a clan meeting!"
moonflower is a war criminal. like in real life. she's guilty of a real life war crime from the real world
ok under further investigations there are more war criminals
-moonflower
-breezepelt
-juniperclaw
-oakstar
-probably onestar but maybe not it depends on if you consider a clans camp a millitary base or a civilian town
A clan’s camp has children, families, and old people. It’s a town. Yes, there are “soldiers”, but I live in a civilian town and we have a military-thing close by, that doesn’t make the whole town one
yeah but a military base sometimes has the families of the soldiers there so a camp falls under both I think.
However you could argue that from the point the queens have to fight despite their exemption the attack shifts from "attack on military base" to "attack on a civilian town occupied by soldiers".
ok so let's take a closer look to the list because I once read the geneva convention of 1949 entirely just for a wip I abandonned two days later and I don't remember much but:
Moonflower destroyed medical supplies.
Breezepelt attacked an expecting mother and a disabled medic. That's like... four breaches all at once. AND he did it in a neutral ground that's supposed to be at peace at all time (the Moon Pool). FIVE BREACHES PACKED IN ONE this guy's on fire.
Juniperclaw? Poisonned the food ressources of civilians (since there's no way to know who's going to eat from the freshkill pile, even if it's a warrior who died, it's civilian ressources).
Oakstar... Idk if I would call him sending Mapleshade away directly killing the kits but he did refuse to grant refuge to unarmed civilian children and their non-fighting civilian mother on a feeble basis. Also she was a soldier under his command/a civilian under his protection... I think we've got something there.
Onestar, Blackfoot/Clawface, and Wind and Shadow clans in Fire and Ice? All invaded a civilian town occupied by soldiers, since in all these cases people who are supposedly non-fighting people were forced to fight or were killed: In Eclipse, Mousefur is seen fighting despite being an elder; In Into the Wild, Spottedleaf is killed the first time despite being a medical personnal and Rosetail, an elder, is killed in the following attack; Wind and Shadow's attack was so badly overpowered that Yellowfang had to start fighting too, as well as the queens, and without Riverclan's help...
Darktail deprived his prisonners of food and water, which is a strong breach of the geneva convention, and even the ones before the 1949 one. Also, he didn't grant separate quarters to officers (Reedwhisker), which is also a breach. AND he also didn't separate the quarters of male and female prisonners and had them guarded indiscriminately by female and male guards which is also breaking a few rules.
In that respect, Shadowclan taking Ivypool then Twigpaw hostage were respectful of the Convention as in both cases, it was females who were charged with guarding the female prisonners: Snowbird and Tawnypelt, and Violetpaw (I think). Sol as a prisonner in Thunderclan was guarded by Berrynose and other male guards, so then again, rule respected.
Let's not mention Brokenstar. Please. Ever.
oakstars war crime was attacking twolegplace repeatedly (which is Definitely just a civilian town) , mapleshades exile was just a dick move
Under the 4th Geneva Convention, exiling those children could be prosecuted as "denying humanitarian access to civilians," especially since ThunderClan was at active war with RiverClan.
It's more than a dick move; Oakstar can have TWO war crimes.
i mean it makes sense. they're around the same in entertainment value
all eyes on you

just saw a tiktok talking about how there is no such thing as a solid orange cat. now as a warrior cats fan I have to propose the possibility that the only truly solid orange cat EVER is actually firestar, and when he showed up that’s part of the reason everyone either hated him or loved him, they all thought he was like a really weird extra extra fire orange cat. but he is actually just fully orange as opposed to cat orange. none of them question it, of course, but no one has ever seen another orange cat and it’s a bit unnerving to see him walk up practically glowing in the sun. bluestar REALLY likes him because she is also just literal solid sky blue and finally someone else feels as terribly out of place as she does, so logically she has to mentor him. spottedleaf knows cat biology better than anyone because she majored in it in medicine cat school or something and is just absolutely fascinated so she simply follows him around forever.
