I wasn't aware this was happening, here is my fling poly propaganda!!!! Talking abt each separately, then their dynamics!!!!
Three individuals who have their secrets, they get together as a "fling", something that isn't serious and they aren't meant to dig too deep into each other's personal lives, but eventually become Forever posse!!!!
Ramuda is someone who knows he isn't trustworthy, so he has a hard time trusting others or taking things too serious as he is afraid of getting hurt. He would do anything to stay alive, but as he gets closer to posse and figures he wishes what they had was real too, he becomes willing to put his life at risk if it means the other two will be alright, he says even if he dies soon, he will be at peace!!!! Of all the people in the world, those two have the words to save him exactly when he needs them
Gentaro only ever trusted one person in his life and he is a self proclaimed liar, he never had many other close relationships aside from posse. So it's really cute how sincere his love for posse is! And if anything, how quickly that happens, he is willing to tell them everything and do anything to make sure they are alright earlier than he might have noticed. He describes seeing those two happy as "the most beautiful scene I have ever seen", also if someone wrote a song about us being lost souls in space who got united by fate after doing the same wish for salvation at the same time to the same shooting star I would fall in love (listen to Stella)
Dice is super honest and very fast to trust others, he believes in living his life to the fullest no matter what, and that the past is in the past. So even if he knows the others are hiding things from him, that doesn't matter, "you aren't really 'you'? Like I care, you're the only 'you' that I know", he is the one person that will always accept the other two with open arms. Dice is the type to say exactly what he thinks without second thought, so even if they tease him about it the other two know how loved they are... He'd drop everything to go help a friend in need, he calls them the best bet he ever made (he's a gambler btw..)
AMEYUME: Ramuda AMEmura and Gentaro YUMEno (called ameyume bc Gentaro himself named their duo that in a podcast) have a very interesting relationship! At first, they keep poking into each other's business since they know how to recognize another liar, but that doesn't do wonders for their relationship and decide to mutually stop prying for the sake of peace. I think this whole thing can be summarized with some stage play songs which is really cool
Going abt the stage plays in chronological order,
> Ramuda has a solo about not understanding what qualifies as real friends, if that's someone you trust, what does that make of him? > Next, Ramuda has a song where he does a background check on Gentaro, and the information given by him are all lies > Then Gentaro has a song about not knowing Ramuda, he makes up lies to explain his mysterious nature but in the end he concludes he might never get to know the real Ramuda > They have a duet where they are threatening a guy, here they make up lies about Ramuda together! Eventually Gentaro drops the act saying it was a lie, but Ramuda insists "oh but it was all true!"* > For last, Gentaro gets a solo about how even if he still doesn't know Ramuda's secrets, he doesn't care anymore and just wants him to be alright, now they have a true bond much more important than that
* loooove how it's both Ramuda being aware of Gentaro's questions about him and playing with that but also his willingness to go with Gentaro's pace... Ramuda always goes along with Gen's sense of humor/they both enjoy teasing others, and is part of why they get along so well!!!
Aesthetically speaking they are opposites (antiquated/modern) but they both have a huge theme with sense of identity and how the clothes they wear play a huge role at that
Ameyume are romantics in theory but that end up being very cynical in practice sometimes, though when it comes to showing it Gen makes very honest gestures that he might pass as a joke if he feels too vulnerable, Ramuda is generally very affectionate and loves to scream to the whole world how much he loves posse, and most of the times showing affection isn't something that makes Ramuda feel vulnerable even before Forever Posse
About ameyume x dice, they are either the voice of reason against his reckless gambling antics or they are screwing with him by being insane! Sometimes both!!! It's awesome... They love to bully him but it's ok...
GENDICE: They are one of the most popular ships in hypmic for a reason! You get a guy who lies for fun and a guy who chooses to be naive for fun and it's like yaoi cocaine for a lot of people, and for Gen himself too probably because he has sooooo much fun teasing Dice, which includes lying they were lovers in a past life and whatnot ??????
Gen has his issues he isn't ready to talk about yet at one point, maybe until then he never even considered he would be able to, but when Dice sees he isn't doing well he jumps straight to his defense without thinking twice and validating whatever he's feeling
Dice is the perfect person to just go "okay sure" whenever Gentaro starts getting too annoying, like Gen.... is a tsundere right............ They have a song together where they go to a festival date!!! And in the end Dice says they should go together again next year, Gentaro says "no" but then softly whispers that he'd want to, COME ON NOW
There are times Dice actively tries to retaliate Gen's teasing, it doesn't work because Gen knows how to turn that against Dice and I don't think he'll ever be fooled by him, but it's Dice's unwavering honesty Gentaro got no chance against
It's fun Gentaro seems calm and collected on the outside but can actually be very emotional, while Dice for the most part wears his emotions on his sleeve but has a calmer side he rarely shows, and for the both of them those "hiden" sides are tied to how they used to act in the past
Gendice x Ramuda, there's a lot of times they get strung along to whatever Ramuda wants to do, sometimes they cringe together at whatever it is, I'd say they have a pretty equal relationship but I think you can tell they were written to be both followers and Ramuda is the leader, in the end they always have a good time. When Ramuda needed them the most they were 300% up for it, there's no one else to support him and make him smile like them
RAMUDICE: (dice has called them ramudice once in one of the stage plays (it was an adlib in a nonrecorded day so I have no proof but you have to believe me)) Dice intentionally puts his life on the line so he can feel alive and even his MC name is DEAD or ALIVE, which it's a nice contrast to Ramuda who is doing everything he can to survive a little longer.
When it comes down to it they are both the type to do whatever they want, they want to be free to do so without having to give satisfaction to anyone. Ramuda has a side that is brutally honest because of this (like yeah secrets etc etc but when it comes to his opinions he doesn't have a filter), bring in Dice who impulsively says the first thing that comes to his mind and that's a very interesting match!!!
Ramuda sometimes does stuff like going to buy desserts bc they are cute and he wants to take pictures and brings Dice along to eat them for him afterwards.. the way I see it Ramuda is more likely to spoil Dice and usually needs to be told not to by Gentaro, buuut, I'd say he's also harsher when it comes to asking Dice to pay him back for it, and he has a lot of fun making Dice fear for his life lol (but he isn't super serious... Probably)
Dice is really easy to persuade (just offer him money or food) and I think it's fun to see it happen with someone who is pushy and tends to take lead of situations like Ramuda, like he doesn't even have to try! Dice likes thrills, so it might be nice that Ramuda is a little dangerous after all.....
Dice isn't a tsundere but he's used to being teased so is usually on guard, and Ramuda's affection is honestly a mix of genuine and teasing? For the most part I genuinely believe he means everything he says, that means while initially Dice gets skeptical about some compliments, he knows how to take them and gets happy!!
Ramudice x Gentaro, "I guess we are the only friends Gentaro will ever have after all...", they are the most sociable part of posse so they observe as Gen gets along with no one but them, though he doesn't care, he is also likely to be the one teasing both of them rather than the two uniting to tease Gentaro back, even if they do it Gen either goes "no😐" or fondly looks at them and goes "alright, alright".. it's cute... He loves them so much!!!!
