Hey guys it's Synn here back with another review. This time on makeup remover wipes. I recently decided to try these because they were on sale and I needed more makeup remover wipes. I'm not even half way through the package and I'm going to throw it out. It claims its for sensitive skin (which my skin isn't) so I can't even imagine how it would effect someone with sensitive skin. For me every time I use them my skin stings and I've been getting these unpleasant dry stinging patches under my eyes (which I had previously believed were caused by the urban decay naked skin concealer). And now for the second time it's caused my eye to swell up slightly. Mind you it's only minor swelling but it is a bit sore to the touch. So I would say if you are going to use these... you know what I'd just suggest you don't use them. Makeup wipes themselves can be harsh on skin but this one is harsher than some of the others I've used (including the dollar tree exfoliating ones!!). And from what I've read the actual name brand wipes aren't any better. Some people weren't as lucky as me and fared far far worse in their reactions to this product. Definitely a fail in my book.

Hey guys, Synn here back with another review! Today I'll be talking about the urban decay naked skin concealer. I really like this concealer. It's creamy, blends easily, and the doe foot applicator makes it easy to apply with more control. Another important aspect is this matches my skin tone perfectly! For those of you who don't know I'm pretty pale (I'm an NW10 or the lightest shade in every single foundation I've tried) and sometimes it can be hard for me to find the right foundation or concealer. I use this on my under eyes a fair amount while I was trying it out, and while it looked great it was a bit irritating to the sensitive skin. anytime I'd have it on for too long or sweat while it's on it would sting and I ended up with these unsightly dry patches or bumps under my eyes. So while I love it I think I'd suggest trying a different concealer for under eye use. Disclaimer: photo is not mine.

Hey guys, Synn here with another makeup review for you guys! Today we’ll be talking about the maybelline Vivid matte liquid lip.</p> <p>I wanted to like this, I really did. I mean it would be great to have another inexpensive liquid lip to add to my collection, but unfortunately I didn’t care for this. The line only comes in a couple different shades and I was immediately drawn to this dark purple (sorry for lack of swatches!). When I tried it it was extremely patchy, never really seemed to dry down but still managed to dry out my lips a bit, and didn’t stay long. I’d say if you are looking for a drug store liquid lip this is one to pass on. And if you do still decide to sate your curiousity and try it anyway, avoid the darker shades (and I’ve heard the neon pink one is just as patchy).

Hey guys, Synn here! Sorry I’ve been away for so long, things have been a bit hectic with school ending for the summer and starting work. Anyway, I’m back with another review and hope to be posting more consistently.

Today’s product is Kat Von D’s tattoo liner in trooper. There’s been a lot of talk about this product going around and I decided it was worth a try if only because I love liquid eyeliner. After a few weeks of using this I can definitely say that this is my favorite eyeliner. It’s nice and black, dries matte, it goes on easily over eyeshadow, it’s easy to apply, and best of all it will last all day. I’ve tried a lot of liquid eyeliners and throughout the day I tend to sweat a little bit off or it transfers into my crease in a not so beautiful way, and this doesn’t. You can run at it and for the most part it will stay in place but comes off fairly easily with makeup remover. After a few weeks of use the felt tip on mine hasn’t gotten dirty or destroyed (though I do recommend wiping it off every now and then if you apply over eyeshadow a lot.) and it is just as black as when I got it.

Hey guys! Syn here with another review! Ive been using this dark circle eraser from maybelline for almost a year now and I really like it. The sponge tip applicator works incredibly well at applying the product and blending it if you so choose (I usually just use my finger to pat it in). However I will admit it’s not the most sanitary. I hear a number of people who just pull the tip off and bypass it all together but I myself not too concerned about how sanitary it is so it doesn’t bother me.

Hey guys Synn here with another review! This time on the Simple Micellar water. I got this on whim when I realized I don't have any makeup remover at home and I have to say i was pleasantly surprised by this. It really feels just like water. No oily feeling afterwards, no scent, nothing. That being said it works really well. I use this to take off everything from eyeliner and mascara to foundation and it takes it all off with ease. And unlike other makeup removers I've used it leaves my skin feeling nice and clean as well. I can't tell you if it lives up to its claim of being good on sensitive skin because my skin is pretty far from sensitive, but it is really gentle. I'd definitely recommend you try this out if you are looking for a new makeup remover, especially one you plan to use around your eyes.

NYX eyebrow pencil

Hey guys, Synn here with another review. Today I’m talking about the NYX eyebrow pencil. These are fairly inexpensive options for filling in your eyebrows and I feel work well if you are an amateur at eyebrows like I am.

I don’t usually fill in my eyebrows, or at least I didn’t use to. Every time I tried in the past it always felt like they looked too fake and it was obvious I had used eyeliner or eyeshadow on them. I ended up reluctantly purchasing this after I decided that maybe a product specifically designed for eyebrows would work better. Sounds good right?

I purchased two different shades of brown because I wasn’t sure which shade would fit best. I have blonde hair but my eyebrows are a little more brown and have almost a grayish tint to them. Neither of the colors seemed to fit perfectly, but I can use both of them without it looking too obvious. These pencils are sooooo easy to use. You just use the pencil to add a few swipes of product along your eyebrows, concentrating in areas where they look a little more sparse, and then I go back over it with the brush which helps the hair lay flat and seems to blend out the color a little bit.

All in all I am really happy with this purchase. I would definitely recommend it, and I know I’m going to keep using them.

Nyc big and bold plumping gloss Hey guys! Synn here back to review another product. Today we are going to talk about the NYC big bold lip plumping gloss. This comes in a couple of shades but I opted for the clear.

This really is just a typical clear gloss. It doesn’t feel super sticky or tacky, and it doesn’t have much of a scent to it either which is nice. I put it on over lipstick (just patted it on over it) and it stayed pretty well. It takes a moment before you feel the plumping aspect of the gloss kick in but you can definitely feel it in the faint tingle that I feel with just about every plumping gloss I’ve tried. I didn’t notice a huge difference in my lip size, but I could definitely feel it.

Scandal Eyes Rockin’ Curves mascara

Hey guys! Synn here with another review. Today I’m talking about the ScandalEyes Rockin’ Curves mascara. I’ve used ScandalEyes mascara before and I’ve always been a fan. They’ve always given me long lashes with good volume without clumping up my lashes.

I’ll admit on this one I was drawn in entirely by the package design. The brush has a nice curve that does help curl my lashes a little bit. Just like all of the other ScandalEyes I’ve tried it’s good for volume and length but with a little more curl than the others.

I would definitely recommend this product. I love the design, the formula, and the brush.

Maybelline’s Baby Skin instant pore eraser

Hey guys, Synn here with another review. Pore erasers, reducers, and cleansers are all over the place lately. Every brand seems to have something that advertises its ability to “erase or minimize pores”. A popular (and expensive) one is the Benefit Porefessional. I haven’t actually tried that, but supposedly this is a decent dupe for it. Unlike the Benefit Porefessional, the baby skin isn’t tinted. It’s a clear silicone like liquid. It feels silky and light weight on your skin, but after three times of use I really don’t see much of a difference. However, I have noticed it does seem to help make my pores look smaller if I use this underneath another mattifying or pore reducing product whether it be BB cream or foundation. It goes on easily and you really don’t need much product to cover your entire face. However I have heard that it’s not very good for oily skin types, so if you have one, try to only put it on parts of your face with large pores. I have fairly oily skin especially in the summer and while this doesn’t give me any breakouts or such, I have noticed that my skin is a little bit oilier by the end of the day, so just beware.

All in all as a pore reducing/erasing product this is definitely worth the price and will last you a while.

Witch hazel Hey guys! It's Synn here, today I'm talking about Witch Hazel. I got this at first to mix with puréed cucumbers and a little aloe Vera to make a great toner for your face, but I ended up just using it on its on. It works great as a toner and face cleaner while removing make up too. I absolutely love it. After a few days of using it my face started clearing up and my pores started looking smaller. I have a few friends and family who have tried this (mostly at my recommendation) and it didn't work for all of them. Sometimes it doesn't clear up the acne very well, but often times it seems to dry out faces. I have kind of oily skin, so I don't have a problem. But keep this in mind if you decide to try it. I use this twice a day, but I'd suggest starting out with using it less frequently until you know how it affects you.

I'm sure everyone has seen commercials or advertisements for Covergirls new The Super Sizer mascara, I know I've seen plenty. I'm a total sucker for new mascaras, especially lengthening ones. This one comes in three shades different shades, very black, black, and black brown. Pretty standard colors really. I ended up buying the very black shade. I've owned this mascara for a little over a week now, and I have to say I'm a little disappointed in it. The brush looks similar to the one on the L'Oreal Telescopic mascara (which I absolutely adore), but it works very different. Every time I've used this so far it has lengthened my lashes but it also ended up causing them to clump together in sections. And whenever I go over the lashes to try and separate them more, it just deposits more product and seems to clump them up more. I'm going to keep trying, but I'm just not as pleased with this mascara as I have been with other Covergirl mascaras.

Coconut oil crayon lipstick I'm sure everyone has seen pins and such all over the place about how if you melt down crayons and add some coconut oil to it you can create your own lipstick. Recently I decided to try it, though instead of doing the double boiler technique everyone recommended, I patiently sat there and melted the crayons over a candle. Probably not the easiest or quickest method, and you definitely have to be careful, but it works. Above are four different mixes I made. The upper left was made using some glittery pink Chapstick and a little coconut oil to make it a little more subtle and to change the flavor. It created a nice light color that just barely gives you a hint of pink on your lips. The lower left was made using coconut oil and various lipstick shades until I got the color I wanted. It looks nice and red but is very opaque when put on the lips. I actually like to use this shade as more of a blush. It gives your cheeks a faint tinge of red and gives it a beautiful dewy look that lasts for hours. The upper right was made using a Roseart crayon (In the shade orchid) and coconut oil. It turned out beautifully. It's fairly soft and easily applied, but it is fairly opaque. It doesn't layer very well but it's good if you want just a hint of color. The lower right was made using coconut oil and a red crayola crayon. It has a similar pigmentation to the Roseart crayon but is perhaps a little less opaque. It is however not as soft and that makes it a little harder to apply to your lips. All of these have a very light almost oily feel when placed on your lips, and I've found that sometimes I'll find myself smelling almost faintly of movie theater butter (not in an unpleasant way), and I haven't noticed any dramatic effects as far as moisturizing goes. It's definitely a fun way to mess around with weird colors without buying new lipstick, but I myself wouldn't use it as a 'lipstick' very often. I'd much rather use it as a blush or such and give my skin that faint dewy look. I've thought of trying the same thing but using Vaseline instead of coconut oil. I don't know if it will change the consistency and density of pigmentation much, but at the very least it should make it more moisturizing to wear.

((The first swatch is without the blurring and the second is with using the 'smudger' tool.)) I just bought Maybelline Colorblur by lip studio in the shade pink insanity. I'm not entirely sure what the point is of the blur function, I tried it and it doesn't seem to serve much of purpose aside from perhaps causing you to need less product to cover your lips. The lip pencil itself is a great color. It felt pretty silky and light weight when I swatched it, has a great color pay off, and is nice and matte. Once on my lips the color still looked great, but my lips are a bit dry and cracked at the moment and boy let me tell you you can really tell after putting this on. All in all not a bad product. It comes in a number of different shades but the Pink Insanity was one of my favorite shades.
