Another 80s feel with the heavy synth and intense hi-hat beat, but it instantly breaks when the vocals join in x)

Okay I don't like the buildup to the chorus. Many points deducted for that. I like the drop into the chorus beat, but that repetition makes their voices get old really fast to me. I would not choose to listen to this on my own. Only 2/3 through as I type this and I got disappointed when the music picked up again.

I already like the beat. Brazilian percussion my beloved. Makes me want to dance, in a subdued kind of groovy way.

Nice and dynamic. Different vocal sections, the percussion varies before each section and even brings in VERY different percussive sounds at the end for some extra variation, keeps the whole thing moving forward in an energetic way while never feeling like it's dragging its feet.

Something about her voice throws me. Hmmm. I think it's the way her pitch slides around?

Reminds me of something from 2018 emulating something from the 80s. It's okay. Would make for fine background music, but it's kind of repetitive and the lyrics don't do much for me.

Damn, way to call me out. I have this thought frequently, unfortunately. It IS bittersweet. One of my favourite lyrics ever is "How lucky are we to have so much to lose?" because damn, I AM so lucky, and it sucks to know one day it will inevitably end and it WILL hurt, and it could be lost in an instant, but damn am I loving it in the meantime.

Tessa Violet always manages to capture that specific feeling of pain and joy. Yet another one of her songs that makes me wish it could have continued to build just a liiiiittle bit more so I could scream into the rain about it a little longer and really let that feeling be felt. This makes me want to make art. And dance on a beach. And hold you really closely. And experience lovely life while I can, now that I'm free and I can share it with the people I love so sweetly. I love the montage of candid photos she's so great at capturing, especially in her bridges.

Hi. I love you.

Oooh, this is some nice sort of club music. Good beat, chill enough to sit around and vibe but interesting enough on its own that it's not boring. I like it. Each section adds and takes away layers, layered vocals, just generally dynamic without being distracting. Overall, not terribly striking but I enjoyed listening to it.

its actually easy to de-enshittify your digital experience all you need to do is install this browser extension and this browser extension and this browser extension and input this custom script into the advanced box and go into your system settings and reconfigure all these options you didnt know existed and change your entire workflow and switch to this alternative operating system and this alternative web browser and this alternative chat client and this alternative word processor and this alternative- sorry that one turned out to be malware delete that one okay now double check your task manager for unwanted background processes and element block these ads and invest in a good VPN and append all your searches with AI blocking keywords and wait a few years until everything you just did becomes shitty too so you can do it all over again okay kitten. its literally that easy.

In twenty-one years, will you say something similar to someone who thinks the Sequels are terrible?

I have no idea what horrors will Lucasfilm inflict to us in the dark future, but I really believe that the sequels will age much poorly than the prequels simply because they don't really add much of anything to Star Wars. There's nothing memorable about them.

The Prequels were *bad* movies (I enjoy them but the dialogue is terrible and there are many other things that just don't work) but they expanded the Star Wars universe incredibly. We saw the capital of the Galaxy!!! We saw how the Republic worked (and didn't), we saw the Jedi at its peak, we saw warfare in a scale never seen before, we saw worlds and aliens and different aesthetics and themes. They also gave us characters like Anakin, Padmé, Obi-Wan, even Ahsoka and Darth Maul if you kept up with the animated shows that enhanced them. Even if you think that the prequels are bad movies, they GAVE a lot

The Sequels on the other hand, TOOK AWAY things from the universe. They took away the character arcs of the heroes of the main trilogy. They returned to the old Rebels vs. Empire playbook, Jakku is Tatooine, the rebels have bases in forested planets, everything is the same. There were a couple original things but they were buried into the play it safe soft reboot crap. They even retreated their own plot points which weren't even that original to begin with.

This is why I think that the Sequels will be poorly considered in the future. Not all of new Star Wars, I think the Mandalorian, despite all, will have a good legacy, same with Andor and other things. But I think the more time goes on the less people will be willing to redeem the Sequels. And this is only from the lore perspective, the messy production and how they treated beloved actors and characters will only make their legacy worse.
