Demyx had been sitting in a chair in the Library. He had been working his way through one of the few fiction works in the collection. Attention completely on the book he doesn’t notice Syntha entering the room. He lets out a started noise with his lap is filled with Android. “Oh hi there.”
“Demyyyyy!! I’m pretty sure I’m more interesting than that book.” they huffed and draped their arms around the other’s neck. “What book are you reading anyway?

[🤙] After being inducted, Syntha was wandering around the Castle after making a wrong turn and was completely lost. They huffed and turned around to head back where they came from when they saw papers scatter onto the floor. Red flashes on their cheeks as they bend down to pick them up, soft whirs and beeps filling the empty hallway.

Of course, Xigbar had been skeptical upon the introduction of this newest member. Quite the doozy, to be honest—not exactly part of the replica project, but nonetheless artificial. But then again, he supposed Xemnas was attempting to put all his eggs into one basket: a few normal Nobodies, a couple from the ancient storage vault, a dash of replicas—and a robot, he guessed.
So after finishing up his latest report, the sharpshooter had been hanging around—literally—watching the being wander about the Never Was Castle aimlessly. Really, no one could afford a babysitter for them…?
Welp, Xigbar to the rescue, as usual.
Purposefully voiping down onto the floor at the least convenient time, he initiated the contact, tossing the papers he’d been holding carelessly to the floor.
“Whoopsy-doodle—got me on my blind side, there, pal,” he addressed the automaton, tone reading its usual smug sarcasm.
Syntha drops the papers again at the voice and slowly looks up. “A-ah! I’m sorry No.2. I wasn’t paying attention and I got lost...” the stop when they realize they were getting stared at with no response and picks the papers up again. “Like I said, I got lost and I was wondering if...you could show me to the Main Area?” As they fiddled with their robe sleeves, they thought back to their initiation.
During the initiation, they could feel the judgemental stares pinning them on the spot, so they kept their head down and listened to Xemnas ramble. “No.15,please state your purpose.” Syntha looked up slightly,causing the hood to fall and reveal long lavender hair and youthful face and a slightly deep, yet feminine robotic voice filled the room. “My sole purpose is to serve the Organization and members to the best of my abilities. I am to stay in the Castle and forbidden to leave without an escort.”
They look up again after snapping out of their memory and tilts their head at the older male and places their hands behind their back. “I do apologize once again for inconveniencing you.”

Demyx shoves the rest of his breakfast in his mouth before standing to follow. He ends up at the back the group as they head down to the labs. Which is good since he has no idea where they are going. “So did I miss the part where we have a plan of what we’re going to do once we reach the lab? It’s not like we can make destroyed files magically reappear, right?”
“What we’re going to have to do is somehow draw out the other heart but therin lies our problem. You said this other heart reacted in the Graveyard and with the true Kingdom Hearts but we have neither at our disposal right now so it will all be trial and error and we have to treat this with caution.” He warned as he pushed the doors open and saw Syntha sitting patiently on the table, grey eyes staring out the window.
Demyx frowns. “So what like trigger the other heart to wake up? I don’t know if that’s a good idea. How would we wake it up in a none dangerous situation?” Demyx was getting a bad feeling about all of this. But he shoves it down and puts on a smile when he walks in to see Syntha. If things seem to be going wrong he’ll set in. There’s no one stopping him from doing that now. He walks over to Syntha while the others set things up. “Hey, Syntha! I think they’re ready to finally do a maintenance check after the fight yesterday.”
Syntha turns to look back at Demyx with a soft smile, red blooming across their nose and cheeks. “O-oh. I am ready.” They turn to look at Vexen and Ienzo and flashes a smile as well, although there seemed to be an unreadable emotion in their eyes. “I..I am sorry for all the trouble I caused yesterday. I can only imagine the worry you went through.”
As Ienzo and Vexen got to work, Ansem crossed his arms and stared at Syntha. “You are aware that you will be punished. I asked you to not leave the castle but you disobeyed orders and went anyway. What if something happened to you? You are... a very valuable and fragile piece of technology and I have the rules in place for a reason. It is to keep you safe. What if you had run out of power with no way to recharge? You easily could’ve been taken.” As Ansem explained, the guilt eating away at Syntha’s consciousness grew and grew as they only nodded. “...as for punishment, you may not leave the lab for two weeks without a guard escorting you.”
Ienzo and Vexen step back after fixing the gears in their neck and quietly retreats to their stations. “If you need me, I will be in my study.” After Ansem left, Syntha was still staring at the ground, no emotion on their face. “You should go.... I-I don’t want to drag you down as well.” They hop from the table and goes to the window and perches on the sill, gazing out the window as unspilled tears filled their eyes but they refused to let them fall.

To explain better I’ll have to tell you about a conversation I had with Xemnas before I even decided to help Vexen. He started talking to Larxene, Marluxia, Luxord and I about the original organization. He said we didn’t form because of our hearts just being that strong. . . He said we were picked, because of our past. Xehanort was sure we’d someday become useful.” Demyx looks away again. “I-i didn’t believe him then. I don’t remember my past and Xemnas is a liar. He’s lied to me the entire time I’ve known him. And he’s made it very clear multiple times that I’m not useful. So I just tossed away what he said. Didn’t think anything of it. I decided to join Vexen and just moved on. But what happened in the graveyard? It’s proof that Xemnas was right when he said we were-.” Demyx’s grip tightens on his spoon as he trails off.
Ansem stopped eating and was eyeing him quizzically while the others looked at him in confusion as Syntha reaches under the table to Dem’s free hand and strokes the skin there soothingly. “It’s alright Demyx. Take your time and breath.” he reassured.
Demyx takes a deep breath. “He said we had an ancient keyblade legacy inside us. That we were wielders from the first keyblade war. I know that sounds crazy. I know the war was a long time ago and me of all people having a keyblade sounds ridiculous. But when Xehanort summon Kingdom Hearts over the graveyard I-I heard them. The fighting, the clashing of more keyblades than Sora and his friends ever had, t-the screams. I think I had an auditory flashback.” Demyx looks up confident in what he says next. “I think for a minute there I remembered being in the first Keyblade War and fighting alongside others to create Kingdom Hearts.”
Ienzo looked at Demyx with wide eyes while Ansem and Vexen looked pensive and deep in thought. “I see.” they both murmur at the same time. Syntha, meanwhile, was stock still as their eyes flashed between green and grey at the mention of Kingdom Hears before firmly settling on grey once Demyx was done. “I….I need a moment. I.. lab! See you in lab yes?” their voice went ridiculously higher as they push back the chair and sprint out of the dining hall. “And what was that about?” Vexen muttered, although he had a slight inkling of what happened.
Demyx relaxes his shoulders when no one starts laughing or saying he was lying. “Sorry I can’t tell you much more than that. I still don’t remember my past just what I said in the graveyard because of it.” He watches Syntha leave with a frown. “That was another thing I wanted to mention. The reason Syntha doesn’t remember what happened. They weren’t the one who saved me in the graveyard. I think there’s another heart in their data and the graveyard caused her to show up. The only reason Syntha was able to fight Xemnas was because she summoned a Keyblade.”
“Really now? That certainly is a turn of events.” Ansem murmured as Ienzo and Vexen shared glances. “Actually Master. When we found Syntha, there was an impassable firewall blocking something and no matter how much we tried, we couldn’t break through it. But get this. Apparently there was Gideon Mulciber and a Crypton who had a hand in Syntha’s creation but the notes are gone when the castle got destroyed or so I heard.” Ansem pursed his lips and stood up as well. “I see.follow me all into the lab.”

Demyx sighs. “Guess it’s my turn. The story is way more complicated than that. And I still don’t understand all of it. I was trying to leave the labs and Xemnas confronted me. I started a fight with him. Which was probably a stupid move but whatever. Out of no where Syntha shows up and starts helping. A few minutes later Xemnas just leaves. After that, we don’t have time to leave before Xehanort summons Kingdom Hearts. Some weird stuff happens after that but you guys won’t believe me.” Demyx had been poking at his food while he talked avoiding eye contact with everyone at the table.
“On the contrary, anything is plausible and you shall not be afraid of ridicule. Please, explain in as much detail you are comfortable with.” Ansem said kindly as he started to eat his breakfast, Syntha softly munching on some computer chips

Upon arrival, Syntha locks eyes with Ansem and Ienzo before taking their seat and stares at the table. “So it seems you had quite the adventure Syntha. After breakfast, go to the labs so we can run a diagnostic scan.” The android nodded and sipped on a slick, black liquid. “If you haven’t been greeted, welcome to Radiant Gardens. I am Ansem the Wise and as you know, there is a lot to talk about so why don’t we start with Syntha.” At being called out, they jolt and laughs sheepishly. “Uhm… well I got worried when Demyx didn’t return so I snuck out to the Keyblade Graveyard with some help and… encountered Xemnas. Of course I blacked out and couldn’t remember a thing but when I came to… Kingdom Hearts was above us and… yeah.” Ansem hmm’ed and turned to Demyx with a raised eyebrow.
