//Are fate rps still alive?
“Why would you go talk to me, during my moment of concentration?”
“Why would you go talk to me, during my moment of concentration?”
ardensfides:
“I appreciate it, Caster. What you do–It greatly helps the others, even if they don’t realize it.”
Though she would speak with the others to try and attempt to make for his life to be a little easier–There was that underlying concern that given the wildcard nature of some Servants that it wouldn’t work. Holding her arm, exhaling a little–Tessa thought his words over, before nodding once. Strategies were already going through her head as she spoke.
“I’ll try to have one of the Lancers cover you once combat starts.”
"A Knight Class, huh... I see, those do seem to have the most dignity." thought in terms of dignity and virtue, a Saber would be more likely to be more worthy, he thought. But such a valuable piece was probably better employed on a more forward position, he would have to make do in order to not press this Master too much.
ardensfides:
Caster was a strong asset, and honestly–She had appreciated that he had answered her call, as well as to agree to work alongside her and the others. It had helped that he seemed to be willing to go outside of tradition or what most saw as the most viable option by coming up with an innovative solution. Honestly, she appreciated the fresh set of eyes at the end of the day. He was more willing to think things out rather than to go in guns blazing.
“I apologize–I’ll try to speak with them later. I hope they didn’t get in your way during the combat simulation?”
"Heh, lots of them would rather listen to their own instincts than listen to tactics. If anything, all of this as made me more sure of the fact my true rule must lie in a more supportive role, like preparing the battlefield with my Tools."
Of course, he referenced this sort of curse he had as a Servant, of constantly creating tools that could be used to destroy human life.
"Once combat starts, my participation becomes much more limited in ability."
@ardensfides x Starter Call (Accepting)
This Master was one he still had yet to form an opinion on. She seemed quite serious, in a way he would rarely see a woman be in life, someone grown to be a magus, though with a less than honorable origin. Not that he cared that much, things like tradition, while logical at times, could also be just another shield for people's irrationality.
In any case, it was sort of a whim that he, Caster Archimedes, had accepted the summons to begin with.
"How do you intend on keeping the more unruly Servants here in check. While I won't criticize their battle prowess, I fail to ignore how some can act quite... impulsively and irresponsibly."
@flowersofchaldea (Elizabeth) x Starter Call (accepting)
"You!"
There were already many contraptions bearing fangs in the dragon princess's direction, should she take any step forward. He had booby-trapped this entire corridor in Chaldea.
"I have no idea who you have, but the feeling of impending doom and danger I feel when you enter my field of vision is too strong for me to ignore. As much as I hate acting irrational like this, I must make sure you don't do anything dangerous."
leaves one (1) starter call here
“...”
Someone is probably gonna ask him for a cooling fan at any moment now, so he is trying to come up with something quickly that he can just throw at them, so they won’t bother him for long about it.
roseicicles:
“Descriptions can be deceiving. Saying that alone can also look a far bit suspicious. But how am I suppose to know, that with that sort of power. That you won’t misuse it for your own gains? Even if you talk a nice game. Power can corrupt people if one is not careful.”
"Oh, so you quite clever after all, as expected from a King. But don't worry, there is no incentive for me to do anything against the Moon Cell, and it would destroy me if I were to do something. You can rest easy."
ryogai:
@syrakousisms said : “ I don’t always need you to fix everything. Finding my own solutions by myself is part of who I am, and it’s how I can make sure that things are done correctly. ”
“Oh! I wasn’t trying to fix any of your creations, Archimedes! Certainly not by myself either..” Nix wasn’t even sure what some of these machines were anyway. A small smile came to her lips as she carefully picked up what appeared to be a bolt. She felt bad seeing him stay within his workshop most of the time and simply wished to lend a hand. Building things like this weren’t in her area of expertise at all but she could at least follow directions! “I was just hoping to help you. I’m sure things would go a little faster with an extra pair of hands right? Though if you think I’ll get in the way, that’s fine too. I understand perfectly that this is how you are but can’t blame me for trying right?”
"...this isn't about being quick." he barely moved to face her as he continued embroiled on his projects.
"Being here is the only way I can tolerate being here a lot of the time, and seeing you here just makes me think about how inventions kept being used for slaughter. Look at all of these, and tell me they couldn't be fashioned into weapons. You might now know personally how to do them, but that Da Vinci would certainly know how."
After the short and cold outburst, he gave out a frustrated sigh. "Excuse me, this is unbecoming" he didn't know where he stood in regard to his presence and role in this place, and he was hating himself for it.
@syrakousisms
“Alright, Archimedes! I had a nice talk with all the Elizabeth in Chaldea and they agreed to not come barging in on you okay?” Nix wasn’t sure what happened between him and the dragon idol but it must’ve been quite the situation. Enough that he absolutely wanted nothing to do with her so far. “Does that solve the problem?”
"Oh, you really went and did it..." he wasn't really expecting her to care about this, but then again, this woman, this Master, was seemingly putting some effort. He couldn't even explain exactly what made those dragonic children annoy him more than the average Servant, thought it was most likely something to do with another summoning.
"It should be better for my mood, yes. My thanks, Master..."
@roseicicles x here
"I am but an administrator of this world, a fact that seems to elude you. If I am not looking over the happenings of the Moon Cell's systems, I just mull over my theorems. Does this description look like a suspicious man to you?"
“Sorry to disturb your work, Archimedes. I just wanted to give you a token of thanks for all your help! Hope you like it. Happy Valentine’s Day.” Nix handed the man a small box containing a few handmade chocolates, each being a different kind. She wasn’t sure which he liked so this was better than settling on just one.
He had barely stopped hanging his head over the papers full of scribbled formulas as he took noticed of the Master leaving something for him. It sounded like something very sentimental, born from some legend after his time. Something to justify a whim to consume these frugal treats.
Yet, she did take upon herself to give him those, even his cold mind had to mellow out a bit.
“I see, then I’ll have to compensate you later... isn’t that the procedure in this tradition? I should begin thinking about it then.“
“What are you doing here? I was under the impression this was my private workshop, and that there are still thirty seven minutes left on my private time. Is there such an urgent matter that would justify that?“
