@syscoursepolls
should medical terms (such as system, alter, ect.) be used by only medical systems?
Yes
No
Don't care / no opinion
Is the term "Endogenic" harmful?
Yes, always.
No, never.
Not as it is used currently, but it has been harmful in the past.
Sometimes as it is used currently, and it has been harmful in the past.
Context: There are numerous claims about the term Endogenic having been used in the past (particularly by Freud) to suggest that DID systems were simply faking their trauma, or that their trauma was caused by a therapist (part of Freud's Iatrogenic theory). If you've been in syscourse tags anytime this past week, you've seen the sources presented by @sysmedsaresexist and refuted by SophieinWonderland (whom I would tag, but for my mental health, I do have her blocked on this blog. She is one of the only blogs I have blocked on this side-blog.)
She requested individuals make their own, less biased form of the poll she presented, as she is a pro-endo who is blocked by the majority of anti-endos, and her poll will be heavily biased toward endogenic systems. As I am a syscourse poll making blog, and I've been wanting to try to get back to this, I figured this would be an opportune time to rejoin.
Please reblog for further spread!
general question on how people see this term
anti endo/endo critical and think endogenic = non-disordered
anti endo/endo critical and think endogenic ≠ non-disordered
pro endo/is endo and think endogenic = non-disordered
pro endo/is endo and think endogenic ≠ non-disordered
its complicated (tags or replies or whatever)

as usual i don't like endogenics interacting but you get a pass on this post cause it's a poll so feel free to interact with this one if you really want
another discourse poll bc im curious about something if you’re pro endo, are you pro or anti radqueer? im tryna test something
pro radqueer

(pls only respond if you’re pro endo unless its the see results option)
Have you been posted on r/fakedisordercringe for being a system?
No.
Yes (not a system)
Yes (disordered system)
Yes (non-disordered system)
I include yes but not a system because FDC loves to apply labels to people.
Poll idea: Do you believe headmates can "die"?
weve done this one already! :3
how do u read "DID" ?
dee eye dee
did
Putting a < at the beginning of text on a poll for one of the options makes it not properly count any votes for that option, but still shows results. You can use this to make a show results/this poll doesn’t apply to me but I want to see button that won’t affect the overall results of the poll.
This may only work on mobile though, I’ve only tested it on the iOS app.
Oh this is FANTASTIC news
Testing this here
Thank you
so much

I'm really curious, because a lot of the time, I find myself assuming that the majority (though certainly not all) of endogenic systems prefer People Based language over Parts Based language. I wonder how much this is the case?
Which type of language do you prefer to use for your system? (For ENDOGENIC Systems)
People Based Language (Treating headmates as individual, fully developed people)
Parts Based Language (Treating headmates as parts of one whole)
A combination of the two is preferred!
I don't use either of these (please elaborate, I'd love to know more!)
See Results (I either don't feel like sharing, or I am not endogenic)
do u think endogenic systems can be traumagenic systems in denial?
yes, always
yes, most of the time
yes, sometimes
yes, but not usually
no, never

I don't care.
I am not a system, but would like to click a button.
This poll is just for fun cause I know that different people end up with different perspectives of how many is a lot.
do u believe in system hopping?

System travel is when a headmate is able to travel from their original system and appear in a new one. It can be either temporary or permane
A system we know is running a survey about plurality. All questions are optional, and it's completely anonymous.
Just a quick warning: it briefly mentions fusion and final fusion, dormancy, splitting, and system denial, just asking you to define them in your own words and asking about your experiences with them. As with the rest of the questions, these are completely optional.
Please read each question carefully.
In this section, tell us a bit about your system, all questions are optional, feel free to make an educated guess or skip questions where yo

What is your headspace/inner world like? (just having different headspace areas or layers counts as one headspace)
We don't have one
We have one - it is simple

We have multiple - they are all simple

Generally speaking, I find it a lot more offensive when like TV shows and movies have a shitty representation of dissociative disorders, but there's like two versions of that. There's stuff where a character has like ""alters"" or something that could in theory be comparable to an actual disorder, but in the story is explained as some fantasy concept. There's also when there is a really shitty depiction of DID and they mix the poor depiction with fantasy (sometimes) AND they fucking call it DID or an outdated term like MPD.
Anyways which do you find more offensive?
when they call it DID/OSDD/outdated terms
when it is kept as its own thing and actual disorder not mentioned
both are bad
neither bother me
i have a more interesting response for the tags
not a system but i want to press a button and see results
