The state I live in, alongside quite a few tests. I’m actually receiving tenure this year! I’m fairly good at my job.

Teaching is such a passion of mine. We really enjoy the good we can do, teaching children how to interpret texts while also encouraging them to become better people.

On the same note as your last post on the ToSD, I feel like pwCDDs who "don't apply" to the theory, feel like they don't apply because "apparently normal" and "emotional" are charged words and can be heavy to use, in a way. Like, our trauma holders are EPs in the interpretation of what an emotional part is, but they don't feel like they are emotional, so we don't use EP for them. Same with our hosts, or alters who don't remember the trauma, or alters who function better than everyone else, or in general everyone else who fit into what an ANP is but don't feel like they are apparently normal.

I don't know, it seems obvious to say this lmao but I think a lot of people with a CDD don't want to use ToSD terminology, and it's fine to use a different terminology just like parts/people language, you do you. But they also don't research what the ToSD actually says, they just assume "oh emotional part means they act like a child and have a chronic nervous breakdown going on" or "oh apparently normal part means they are so well adjusted and can't have problems ever"

Lord knows I’m at fault of this too. I need to look more into the ToSD as well. It wasn’t until within the last year that I started looking into what EP and ANP actually meant due to a friend of mine explaining that I didn’t actually need to ID with those labels.

So much of these communities are determined to make everything a label, and lord knows I’ve struggled with that too.

I’m not good at explaining things but I think what OP of the reblog was trying to say is:

3 alters fusing makes them only 1 alter. fusion is final and can’t be undone. a fusion can’t unfuse into the beginning 3 alters, so listing 3 alters and then saying “here’s a fourth alters who’s a fusion of the first 3 alters” isn’t possible.

I don’t know if I agree with them or not but I hope that helps make more sense than what they said

I don’t know (and tbh don’t care) if it’s possible. I imagine frequent fusings and splittings could be possible. I imagine three alters usually confronting or blurring together could also appear the same as “these three fuse into one alter sometimes”. Far be it from me to say what is and isn’t possible with CDDs.

My problem is far less with whether or not they think it’s possible, my problem with them is that they immediately resorted to calling people cunts and being overly aggressive the second anyone disagreed with them, threatened to maul someone, and got pissy at people who didn’t understand their poorly worded vagepost. Also not a fan of them trying to use the disorder that literally everyone else in the conversation has as an excuse and saying I should be compassionate towards them while refusing to show a shred of compassion for anyone else. Also very telling that they are aware of themself enough to go “I’m not in my right mind right now” and instead of using that self awareness to do anything to make it better, they try to use it as a shield against criticism while doubling down on what they’ve said. Essentially, “I’m aware my behavior is unacceptable and caused by me not being at my best, but I stand fully by what I’ve said and done, you all just aren’t allowed to be mad at me!”

Genuinely, I hope they log off and take some time to get grounded. Ideally, I hope they stay logged off until they are responsible enough to handle social media. I do not wish them harm, I genuinely hope they get a handle on things. It would be great if they acknowledged their behavior was unacceptable, but I truly don’t expect them to. I’m sympathetic to how mental illness affects your behavior and emotions, but it does not absolve them of any responsibility for their actions and I do not feel obligated to respond super nicely to the things they were saying.

This is about someone who treats fusion like it exists as a steven universe concept and not a real thing that happens. I'm aware of how fusion works because I have alters who have fused. This is about someone who lists 3 alters, and then later down their alter list lists a fourth alter and says they're a fusion of the three alters. That is not how that works.

Second of all: maybe it does work that way. I’ve got splits that are younger versions of other parts. The way DID works, parts are all just separate states of a single person. If you can imagine it happening, then it can happen. Why are you so pissed about someone else’s inner workings???

Well I guess my fuckin insystem husband just doesn't exist. He's a fusion of 2+ parts. We also had a fragment (he went off somewhere idk) who was a combination of multiple alters who weren't actually fused at the time. Systems are fucking weird and work differently

Ok explain who the post was for then. We had alters who are now inactive who could fuse and unfuse. Hell, we still do to a different degree. Shit happens, systems work differently because they're different systems.
