This is a blog about how so many resources out there are being made using ai. and it's hard to be sure if the apps that fit your needs also align with your morals.
You can send asks in about whatever system app. You can talk about whether or not you are suspicious of certain apps using ai. Nothing here is solid info, just feelings in words. If you want real info do real research. You can talk about your favorite app features, your least favorite app features, instances of ai being normalized in system spaces.
Kinda just a vent blog for systems in regards to system/plural-apps and ai in system spaces.

florality.. i hate that website. i was there really early on and had access to closed beta, and it already had subscriptions. this was really weird and disappointed me a lot because it felt less like someone supporting the community and more like someone profiting off it. i changed to a different app eventually because the staff team were really weird and mean and ableist, plus i heard some staff quit a while back due to "poor working conditions" whatever that means. i wonder if they're ok.
Oh damn. I don't have much to add because I don't know much about florality staff or the app via experience
specifically with this ask i feel the need to add:
do not take anything said here as fact, this is a blog for people to express opinions and even vent about apps and ai within our community spaces.
I think the reason people treat you as a trustworthy source is due your presentation on tumblr here looks somewhat professional and "Fuck yes they know what they're doing" if that makes sense. Gives a vibe of a leader people are willing to follow.
See this is what confused me
I've never understood this because tumblr just isn't a source to trust in general. I wouldn't trust a tumblr blog or any information found on it. I think people are forgetting that everyone can just lie on the Internet. People are largely anonymous and nothing is real here.
Especially in the age of ai. Checking sources and researching by whatever means possible should be standard with how much bullshit is being shoved down everyone's throats.
I also don't know what screams professional on my blog. I'm strange frantic scrambling and sleep deprived. I cannot fathom anyone taking me so seriously. Genuinely. It's kinda shocking for me.
Honestly the struggle against trying to stay safe privacy wise against genai is so tiring. Do you know any apps or websites for system logging that art truly proven to not be vibecoded or genai ?
I'm honestly not the best place to ask, Even if i did a decent amount of research I'd still get something wrong somewhere and people are already treating me as a trustworthy source when I'm not. project for plurals going down is honestly a detriment to anyone wanting 1 polished place to see information on a substantial amount of apps.
My main advice is to do your own research, look for apps or doc websites that have a privacy policy and other stuff that suits you properly. I don't know what everyones individual needs and standards are, so i don't trust myself to cater to that well.
this one isn't as widely talked about or used but I well and truely hate florality for how bare bones it is compared to other apps vs how much paywalling there is. I've tried so many apps and it's my most hated (active/currently usable) app I have tried so far purely for the amount of paywalling.
As soon as i heard about florality paywalling basic shit i immediately knew I'd never even try it.
Good to know it's as underwhelming as i thought it'd be.

You wanna change a specific setting? go fuck yourself. Check five different unclearly labeled settings menus and then give up and check the discord where only one person has mentioned that you have to whisper the magic word to a specific man named Garkles to set your app to fucking dark mode.

The racism of mebers of the server. that the mods didn't get around to moderating properly or moderated poorly is important. The way the staff worded their announcements regarding the racism could and should be improved on.
I recommend everyone read the official announcements if you haven't already (i have reblogged them myself so you can check my blog) and keep an eye out for statements from POC in the community on how acceptable the actions and announcements are.
AI has every to do with racism. Especially racism and ecocide of indigenous peoples and other low income communities of color. I am a person of color who brought up the AI issue because they are both important to me as a Black, Indigenous, Chinese person. We won't have systems of color to protect from racism if we are dead from the impact of AI and it's forms of colonization already happening in the indigenous world, and how it misidentifies and wrongfully incriminates people of color. Systems of color, and all people of color with mental health conditions are extremely vulnerable to violence & discrimination.
Both are important. If the world was black and white we would have no color and no grey area. In order to support people of color we must be multifaceted in our understanding. Racism is not done away with one thing, it is complex.

Honestly, i am by no means smarter, i just have a platform.
My best advice is to just take the announcement at face value? Tone is tricky over text and guessing hidden meanings is going to make EVERYTHING worse for everyone involved.
Also even if there is ulterior motives? Polite questions can be asked. Questions are better than rash assumptions. Assumptions inevitably means more harassment and that is NOT okay.

Hello everyone! First, we’d like to apologize for taking so long to get this announcement written and available to everyone. Staff had become overwhelmed with moderation, and many of us had things going on in our lives, so we decided a break for our mental health would be beneficial.
After our break, we decided to take our time with writing the announcement, since we wanted to make sure this announcement is as clear as we can make it and we don’t miss anything. If there are any concerns or questions, please let us know by opening a ticket. I’ve read through every single tumblr, tiktok, discord and whatnot post I could find and I am flabbergasted.
The staff team is being harassed, theres threats, theres incredibly rude remarks and theres insane expectations.
Theres posts that are a safety risk to my team.
The docs includes us apologising over 8 times.
No one claimed this would be the perfect announcement, but dont you think what you guys are doing is absolutely not fair?
You are pushing and pushing, you are being incredibly respectless and rude, while the team tried for days, hours after hours on call to make the announcement.
I acknowledge that theres a big topic missing. The orientalism especially- and it will be added, as its incredibly important, but the way this team is being treated is *insane*.
“You dont moderate names, dont you think racism is more important than a user being uncomfortable”, something that was said about us.
We **cant** ask everyone in here if they can use x name. What we can do is educate, offer resources and that we will moderate it if its obviously used when they cant.
Asking 2000 people about their race to figure out if they can use a name- is simply not okay?
Another thing I want to adress is the behavior about Key posting the announcements.
Claiming I had no part in it or how Key “must be” the POC of the team and thats why.
First post after post its assumed the team is 100% white and now we assume who isnt white?
Key posted it, because theyre an admin in the server. Any staff could have posted it.
Anyone.
I stand behind my team. Just because I didnt post it does not mean my input wasnt given, I havent read it or that I dont care.
I care. It makes me sick to read that the community in here is uncomfortable and upset, and I acknowledge any and all mistakes. I want to work on it- but all the backlash we receive is not justified. It isnt fair.
My team has spent so many hours on this document. So many nerves. We’ve sat together exhausted and worried how it would be taken.
Seeing how this community is ripping my team apart is the most hurtful thing I’ve had to witness.

Yes because the whole racism topic has such a severe priority. The announcement is already over five pages long. This topic will go seperate. Please respect that, and stop harassing my team over it.
Questions are always okay. Always. But not harassing us, and being rude.

I can see that. Maybe I will, but how are we going to prove ourselves then? All these posts about how “the team hasnt done jackshit” loosely quoted here. We cannot do jackshit without social section, because actions will be taken in those. Just taking them away will not prove anything.
Also, people tried to doxx me, sent me threats anonymously and what not, and then I am being asked to not shut this down?

I love this project, I love this server and I love my team. And i am painfully aware this message will also be ripped apart, but I think its important to share what this community is doing.
This community screams at us to be mindful, but we get nothing in return.
Everyone here worked themselves off, didnt sleep, had stress to the moon and back, trying to make up for the lack of moderation, for the lack of a proper apology in the first announcement- we *tried*, but theres zero grace for my team. Zero.
I acknowledge we messed it up. Things should have gone differently from the start and I am so deeply sorry I couldnt even put it into words, but none of our mistakes give the community the right to rip us apart like that.
Im not excusing anything. I do not want pity.
I know we didnt handle this properly, but we are not given any chance to make it right, any start we take to make it better isnt good enough and immediately punished.
Also no this is not directed at any ticket or any user in here, these are my thoughts about all the hurtful things I’ve gotten sent the last months. On any platform, even via my emails. Its about people going out of their way to harass and be respectless while expecting the team to be perfect.

- Check statements from devs and moderation teams directly responsible for apps. (Google, checking official blogs for asks, or support discord server announcements and FAQs.)
- POLITELY send asks or make tickets to ask the devs more directly. for example "Hey i saw @systems-against-ai (or somewhere else) claim your app was/has [suspicious feature/made using ai/made by someone with a certain syscourse syance/etc] did i miss a statement about this somewhere? Can you/the dev verify or clarify any of this information for my peace of mind?" <- feel free to copy paste and edit this too just keep it polite.
- POLITELY ask other devs if they know something. Don't expect anything out of this one. Every dev has a lot on their plate and worrying about apps that aren't their own might not be their priority. Being a dev for a system app is a fucking minefield.
- Genuinely mention that this blog is where you got this info so others can look this up and see it's credibility for themselves. Hell if an app dev/team wants to send non-anon asks my way as well for clarity, as a way to get real/better/direct info to my followers I'm so down to do that.
