Finally! I can now proudly say that I’m wrapping up my university life. A bit later than expected but I’m grateful for each day of the four years I spent in De La Salle University nonetheless. It was one hell of a crazy journey I had in DLSU—great highs and unavoidable lows. The naïve freshman me would have never imagined half the things that would happen to her. From meeting amazing people everyday, learning from the best in the country, academic accomplishments, making friends that would last a lifetime, and having invaluable life experiences. One thing’s for sure, the past four years inarguably helped shape me to be the person I am today. To my professors, in both majors and minors, I may not remember all your names or majority of your lectures but know that I am grateful for the knowledge you have imparted in me. I will make sure to make use of these and become a noteworthy individual in the future. As the closest people to me knows, my college experience is not a walk in the park. Yes I made bad decisions but no, I have no regrets. I’ve faced many adversities and at one point reached rock bottom, a time wherein I questioned where I was headed in life—if I had wasted the incredible opportunity I was given. As the saying goes, when you’re at the bottom there’s no way to go but up. So, I want to take this chance to thank the people that helped me and kept me going to finish strongand indeed rise against the odds. For the friends who never left my side in the uphill battle that is life, you guys know who you are, thank you for always being there through thick and thin. And for the few that I lost along the way, I also want to thank you because I’ve learned the true value of trust, loyalty and camaraderie. For my brother who’s the best listener and surprisingly the best advisor, thank you for putting up with my nonsense. You’re the best and I hope you know that. To my amazing parents, who had to endure so much headaches and heartaches for me, thank you so much for believing in my capabilities, for providing me the best that you could offer and for loving me unconditionally—even at my worst. I love you both so much. This one is for you. And of course, to God who was, and always will be, there for me no matter what trials I may face. Thank you for always guiding me back to You when I’m astray and never failing to show me Your love. Lastly, thank you De La Salle University. I may be leaving the comfort of your walls but I will continue to strive to be a Lasallian achiever for God and country.
