Like Xiao Se once commented, it's like casting pearls to swine. But, it also means the other way round. Pearls can be meaningless to some beings after all if we believe we shan't be controlled by riches.

There are no such things as "demons". They can be tamed, they can be work with and turned into guardians, deities, or protectors.
It is our inner demons that could change a good person into a sinful one. In Sanskrit, demon is defined as "maras" and they are within us. They are the energies in us that we may experience as negative feelings and sufferings.
But we must learn to embrace suffering as part of the 4 noble truths. The origin of suffering. The cessation to suffering. And the road leading to cessation of suffering.
