I am an odd bird, with a quirky/goofy/geeky sense of humor and a raging case of wanderlust. After completing my BFA SCAD - The University for Creative Careers it was important to me to capture my artistic journey on my skin. Both of the cameras in my chest piece are my actual cameras. The two most favorite of my collection, a Kodak 2D from approximately the 1920’s and the Nikon F from the 1960’s. @tattoosbyrich is an insanely talented tattooist and I could’ve asked for no better artist to capture my beloved cameras. His realism is second to none. A little #TBT to my final project for BFA from @scaddotedu The photography program in Atlanta was certainly the highlight of my higher education. Once I discovered large format cameras and invested in my own 8x10 view camera I was sold on this medium to represent me and my artistic work. There’s no greater joy for me than when I’m afforded an opportunity to slow down and engage with my subjects. My Vintage Kodak 2D has changed my chosen medium and my vision in the best of ways. Hands down my favorite 35mm film SLR. It’s from the 60’s and was used by a veteran in Vietnam. My cousin married him several years ago and they very kindly gifted it to me after shooting their wedding.
