for @tachiginweek2024's day 5: one bed + domestic
The first time Tachihara stayed over, it was due to a very simple reason: they needed somewhere to crash after a mission that had left them unscathed but tired as hell, and their place was closer. A simple matter of it being way more convenient, nothing more nothing less. Though Gin would be lying if they said she hadn’t been looking forward to a moment like that.
Even when letting people in, both metaphorically and literally, wasn’t easy.
“You sure it’s alright?” The redhead asked, once both arrived at Gin’s room, sitting over their bed like it was going to either attack or swallow him.
“My brother won’t be home till later on, and he doesn’t mind anyway.” They simply said, already taking off his jacket and mask. Shortly after, she let their hair down as well.
“Huh, ‘kay.” Tachihara didn’t seem that much convinced… or he had more inquiries about the whole situation. Not like Gin spent any time wondering, since the answer came rather quickly. “So… should I go back to the livin’ room and take the couch, I guess…?”
The question made Tachihara freeze, and being so close to him Gin didn’t miss how his cheeks started going on their way to match his hair’s color. He even stuttered a little before properly answering them.
“You don’t mind sharin’ a bed with me? ‘Cause there’s no way I’m lettin’ you take the couch if you won’t lemme do it.”
“No, I don’t.” Gin shrugged. They had slept with several other kids back in the slums, including her brother, as well as the two of them alone before and after. So, no, he wasn’t overthinking it… and wouldn’t until later on, when feeling Tachihara basically huddled against them.
The most recent time Tachihara had stayed over… Well, that time hadn’t even ended yet.
Gin was barely awake when he moved, giving them a peck on the lips before exiting both the bed and then her room. Right at the start, that may or may not have filled them with doubts about where he was going, but after several months of dating and knowing Michizô didn’t have work that day… there were only a handful of places he could be going to, and they were inside the Akutagawas’ place in most cases. His usual routine there, Gin had noticed, was bathroom then kitchen; anytime he and/or Nakajima were there, they took the reins when it came to cooking and ended up making food for at least twice the people who actually were there.
Not like anyone would complain, though, since at the end of the day there would either be no leftovers anyway or Ryû and her could save them for the day after. It was nice.
And nice was also the way they were woken up after dozing off again, with Tachihara covering his face with more and more kisses.
“Breakfast’s ready.” The first response she offered him was a lazy, sleepy groan. “I’d come quick-ish if I were you, or it’s gonna get cold.”
