Even if it was only because Haruka couldn’t sleep Makoto would help him in anyway possible. Surely mamaorca instincts had kicked in to think there was a deeper meaning behind all that, but for now, he would try and help him as best he could.

[Text] To Haru: Is there any particular reason you can't sleep? I could give you some suggestions. Or I could come over.

It was the middle of the night, but it wasn’t like his parents didn’t know that at times he left in the middle of the night to make sure Haruka was okay. It was more or less allowed, because Makoto looked after his best friend pretty well since Haru lived alone. So, if he did leave he was sure his parents wouldn’t be angry and even if so, the dolphin seemed distressed about his lack of an ablity to sleep at the moment, so the orca was surely going to try and help that.

The moment the reply flicked across the screen, there was only one reaction that Haru could immediately come up with. He couldn't properly explain to Makoto the reason he couldn't sleep, so maybe it would just be best to play it off as nothing.

[Text] To Makoto: No reason in particular. Just restless.

The words on the screen seemed so obvious a lie that the dolphin was certain his best friend would see right through them. And there was still a tugging--a nagging, heavy feeling in Haruka's chest that wouldn't stop. He felt stuck, incredibly powerless.

He still really needed to see Makoto.

Haru's fingers moved across the keyboard of his phone in a slow and deliberate way, a second message added before he'd given Makoto enough time to reply.

[Text] To Makoto: Come over please.

It seemed like such a selfish thing to do, but then again Haru had always been a little selfish when it came to Makoto. Closing his eyes and drawing a shaking breath, Haruka leaned his head against the still-full tub. He was certain that Makoto would come after a text like that, and so his grip on the phone went lax. It seemed soundless as it slipped out of his hand and fell to the floor between his legs.

He's wasn't sure why, but he couldn't bring himself to move from that position.

I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS SINCE WE WATCHED IT BUT WAS UNSURE ON IF I WANTED THE ARRANGED MARRIAGE TO BE TO MAKOTO OR REI LIKE. BOTH WOULD BE HILARIOUS. okay but like an au based around princess hours where haruka is the aloof prince (he'd be less of an asshole and more of just like 'i dun care') and rin is the one he wanted to marry but rin won't marry him bc he's busy chasing his olympic swimming career and then like. haru's arranged to marry makoto and hijinx ensue. g o o d b y e friends.

鯖—-Haru hadn’t been expecting someone to ask him something, and so he took a moment to respond. He’d never seen this girl before… but he was headed back to the school for an extra practice, anyway, so he supposed there was no harm in helping her out.

"Sure. I’m headed there right now, if you’d just like to follow me."

Typical Haruka. The orca hadn’t expected anything else to come out of his mouth, though just by the way Haru looked at him, it was almost the subconscious way he knew he meant more. After all, they had that way of it was always up to Makoto to guess what Haruka was thinking. He knew it. Deep in his heart he did.

"I give, someday you might be able to have that pool. I wouldn’t mind swimming in it with you."

He moved a hand towards his face, giving a bit of a chuckle. All this talk over a simple pool. Normally he wasn’t the type to be all over it, but this was the way his best friend was showing, how he cared, in his own way and Makoto really was touched by that.

"You'd really swim in it with me?" The dolphin looked thoughtful for a moment, and then added, "This particular pool is at a hotel... maybe we could go together..." Haru obviously hadn't thought of any of the implications that came along with suggesting he and Makoto go stay at a hotel together. As far as Haru was concerned, it was just the best way to get to swim in an interestingly shaped pool, but...

...that was just how his mind worked.

Growing trust

Muse A is part of a race that humans own as pets or slaves.(Can be anything from being a cat person to an angel, whatever you want) Muse A was previously owned by an abusive human who not only physically Muse A but occasionally drugged Muse A and let other people have their way with the pet.

Muse A’s owner eventually gets arrested and Muse A is put in a shelter. It is only a few days before Muse B shows up and takes Muse A home with them. Muse A is extremely skittish and shaky, Even fighting when Muse B tries to put their new collar on them. After a few weeks Muse A is still showing clear signs of the abuse they suffered at the hands of their last master. Muse B realizes this isn’t just nervousness over having a new master and is extremely gentle with the pet, taking care of all of Muse A’s needs. Eventually Muse A realizes they won’t be hurt anymore and happily follows any orders given.

Optional twists

1. Muse A ends up going into heat and Muse B helps them through it.

2. Muse A ends up pregnant after one of Muse B’s friends bring their pet over.

3. Muse B falls in love with Muse A, they enter a relationship despite being master and pet.
