You have a mission
Saix waits for the information to sink in with the other man, and he is pleased as he notices the reaction his words had on the other. This was a room full of people he could ask to aid him in this mission, but he had picked out Xigbar for one special reason: Because he had seen the horrors of Vexen’s labs, and he had lived. Xigbar were one of the few with a respect for what dangers laid in the deepest parts of Vexen’s realm.
He gives a snort to the remark on his newest battle wounds, as he brushes his hair back to cover most of it. He doubted he would get any pity, and neither did he want any. “We will try to get a hold of it together. I have asked Vexen about it, and he can’t give any more information about it before we at least have a description of it.” Saix snorts as he were getting agitated over this. “Honestly, just how many blood crazed creatures can one person have in their lab?!” His hand moves back to his bleeding neck, as he starts scratching the irritated skin. He would somehow get Vexen back for this, he just did not know how yet.
In any other situation, Xigbar might have enjoyed the uncertainty of the mission. Ordinary recon missions held little danger; search and destroy missions lost their luster years ago. Yet recent encounters with Vexen’s latest pets had worn at even Xigbar’s nerves, leaving him wary of anything that came from the scientist’s laboratory. Even had known the thin line between genius and insanity, and Xigbar had no such certainties about Vexen.
Xigbar shook his head slightly. A haze of uneasiness settled over his thoughts, even as he dispelled the remnants of his previous paranoia. A chuckle twisted his throat like a knot, the laugh scratchy and rough. He curled his mouth in a grin. “How many creatures can Vexen fit in his lab?” Xigbar shrugged widely. “There’s your answer, VII.” The nobody cocked his head to the side, his eye drawn to the man’s risen hand. Xigbar noted how Saix scratched at his irritated skin, blood pooling in places, but he only allowed his gaze to rest on it for a moment. The side of his neck itched with sympathy at Saix’s plight, but he refused to dwell on the obvious danger their mission presented.
“Gee, give me an easier mission next time.” The idea of trudging through the darkness of Vexen’s labs in search of a mysterious creature, possibly the blue-haired wretch or something worse, seemed a poor way to spend his day. Xigbar spread his arm out toward the door, and he cocked his head in the same direction. “Lead the way, kiddo. I haven’t got all day.”
Naito-san’s Follower Forever 2012!
I hope everyone was tagged correctly, seeing as how there are quite a few of you who I wanna give a shout out to. Also, I apologize if this isn’t as pretty as some other banners have been; I’m not exactly well-versed in Photoshop and stuff. @u@;;

ooc; It's finals week, which officially means that the mun is as crazy as a 'nort these days. Here's a list of current roleplay tags that I'm working on, although the going is a bit slower than usual on them.
bleedingflames; x
celestialxlight; x
demondancinginthemoon; x
memoriesarekeys; x
oblivious-xiii; x
seasalt-princess; x
themelodiouswaters; x
fleetingmemento (going to plan another thread something with)
(If I forgot to list our roleplay thread, please let me know! I have the memory of a stereotypical goldfish.)
Apologies to the three people who have been waiting a little longer than usual for a tag back—I promise I'll get to them once I've regained some of my sanity. 'Cause trust me, right now, I'm pretty crazy.
Also, welcome to all my new followers! Since I'm behind on my follow starters—welcome, and it's great to meet you dudes!
ooc; The mun believes that Xigbar is caught up on all tags except for four: demondancinginthemoon, oblivious-xiii, bleedingflames, and themelodiouswaters. He also owes four follow starters, which he'll get to tomorrow.
The mun has also decided that Xigs needs more multi-para rps, so if anyone wants to start up such a roleplay (which would make me love you forevermore) just send him an ask.

It took a moment for Xigbar to recognize Namine, so sparsely had he visited Castle Oblivion during her captivity there. He raised his hand in greeting, and he called out her name for good measure. "Well, if it isn't one of the Organization's lost lil lambs."
The look on the elder man’s face made Isa’s little stomach twist. What was with all of the versions of Xehanort – even if Xigbar was only partially – and giving him such expressions? He wanted to wipe it off the idiot’s face and then run for his life. But such thoughts were put to rest for the time being. He couldn’t allow himself to be riled. he wouldn’t be so easy for the man to take advantage of, especially with his small size at the moment. He had to keep reminding himself of that, or he was going to forget and do something that most people would find stupid, but Isa found practical. If the one eyed man was to ask if it had been Xehanort to do this, he would simply deny it, for he highly doubted that the old coot would have a deal with those grey creatures; if he did, he would certainly make Isa older. He was useless to them, being this small. So when the man spoke, Isa simply glared up at him the best a five year old could. “I’m five.” He defended pathetically, knowing how stupid he must have sounded.
Biting back a laugh, Isa just shook his head. Was Xigbar really wasting his time trying to figure out what had caused Isa to become so small? What was the point in doing that? All it would serve to do was… Well, nothing. As far as Isa knew, there was no way to break these grey spells, unless another grey creature was to break it early. “Yes Xigbar. I stole someone’s bunny and they decided to turn me into a five year old.” He answered sarcastically, putting a hand on his shrunken hip. “But your guess is as good as mine – maybe Ienzo decided to play with his illusion magic and something went haywire.” He decided to just play along, mentally snickering at the idea of Ienzo being the cause of this. Of course he wouldn’t put having such power passed Ienzo, but he didn’t want to think of it too much. For all Xigbar knew too, Isa himself could have been playing around with magic. Letting him think what he would, Isa bit his tongue. The child knew that he was going to have to watch the amount of sass he threw at the Free Shooter; he wouldn’t be able to defend himself this time. There was no telling what the Nobody would do to a child, anyway.
Turning his head out of the way just in time to avoid the flick to his forehead, he gave another roll of his eyes. Did Xigbar really think he would be so gullible? There was no way the man would so easily leave, and Isa knew it. There were always catches with deals to the devil, and Xigbar was certainly half devil, if nothing else. “Pulling the Lea card out already are you?” He shook his head, smirking, almost amused. No child should look at an adult the way that Isa was looking at the Nobody, but there was so much hatred behind those green eyes, it was nearly impossible for Isa to hide it in this state. “He’s currently doing things that I can’t do at this size.” ‘Like going to school.’ He would say nothing about that however. He would not put his friend in any more danger.
Xigbar shook his head slowly, and a small grin played across his mouth. He rested his hand on his knee and stood to his full height. The nobody cared little if Isa tried to run away now—he assumed from the child's continued presence that Isa knew better than to try. Xigbar felt a tinge of amusement as he considered Isa's paranoid response to his offer. Isa seemed convinced that he would rescind on such an agreement—and only proved the boy's wisdom. A chuckle left the man's throat. "Yeah, sure," he said. "Little Ienzo made you three feet tall without anybody noticing. That sure sounds likely."
Xigbar regarded the child's face for a moment, the hatred in those bright green eyes startling if not surprising, and they caused a grin to grow on the nobody's face. "It's all right. You can tell me." He considered pretending to fake sympathy, but he knew that Isa would see through the facade as easily as looking through clear water. "Let me guess… You fought with your little friend, didn't you? Did little Lea not want to spend time with a little kid like you?" Xigbar truly doubted that there was an ounce of truth in his mocking taunts. The Isa and Lea he had known in his timeline had clung to each other, sickeningly close best friends, for most of their troublesome little lives before the heartless incident. There were a million other explanations as to why he had never seen Lea around Isa before. Yet Xigbar enjoyed mocking Isa too much for a small fact like the validity of his insults to matter. "Or maybe he's off at school, covering for you while you hide out here like a five-year-old. Is that what you meant by things you couldn't do at that size? Or maybe he's playing basketball?"
After Xigbar hesitated for a moment, the nobody laughed loudly, the sound biting and mocking. He leaned forward to try and pat his hand on the top of Isa's head. The boy's short height kept surprising him slightly, even though he knew the boy had been cursed. "Aw, but you don't care about that. You're too smart to tell me about little Lea, aren't you? It would be awful if me or the old coot found him, wouldn't it? I mean, you've been cursed and hurt how many times by us? And now you're five years old. Who knows what would happen to Lea if we got our hands on him?"
"I'm waitin' for that figurine, Patches. Y'don't want me t'get nasty."
"Oh, now here's the thing. I said I'd get you that figurine if you told me who your leader was. But you didn't... so I won't. Simple as that."

The white-crested waves slipped onto the shoreline with a peaceful tranquility. The sound of the waves breaking against the sand carried softly through the morning air. Xigbar felt a scoff rise in his throat. The beauty of the islands seemed more fit for a storybook than for reality, and if Sora had truly originated in this world, then that answered many of his questions about the naive keyblade bearer. A bird's cry in the distance made his nerves spark with anxiety, even though he knew that little in this world held any true danger. A reconnaissance mission to the home world of the keyblade bearer himself seemed like a miserably unwise idea, even though Sora remained traveling the other worlds according to Xigbar's most recent information.
As Xigbar turned to explore an area further down the shoreline, his gaze found the sight of a familiar young woman. Last he remembered, the woman was both a princess of heart and one of the keyblade bearer's best friends. He weighed the consequences of catching her attention for a few moments, before his lack of caution proved too strong to ignore. "Well, if it isn't one of the keyslinger's little friends. I don't suppose Sora's out here with you?" A slight undercurrent of mockery carried through his words. "I sure haven't seen him in a while."
Unnecessary Adventure (Xigbar and Zexion)
The assault on his hair caught the Schemer off-guard and he glared up at the Freeshooter. “How is that relevant to this?” he replied carefully, realizing that the man might just be goading him into revealing a weakness. “Friendship is just another falsity that we allow the younger members to believe they can still feel. Whether I am on friendly terms with anyone I am sent out with besides Lexaeus is irrelevant.” Still, Zexion felt ill at ease with the words from Xigbar.
“Let’s just get this over with,” he sighed, arms crossed over his chest, refusing to see this as a vacation. Surely the Freeshooter was on something that was altering his view. Or he was just an asshole. It was very possible that the other was nothing more than someone who wanted to ruin the Schemer’s day. There were so many things he needed to do in the library upon his return, and the longer he was stuck out here, the less sleep he would receive in the process.
"All right, all right," Xigbar said. The nobody shook his head, a wide grin still playing across his mouth, before he strode forward ahead of Zexion. He glanced over his shoulder and waved his arm for the short nobody to follow him. "You gotta stop being so uptight sometimes. I swear, you sound more like Vexen every day. And no. That's not good thing."
The fluorescent street lights flickered occasionally, their resulting shadows wavering like living creatures in the dimly-colored city streets. Despite Traverse Town's inhabitants having returned, for the most part, to their numerous home worlds, the town's street lights stayed as active as ever. He kept a careful eye on the shifting shadows, an old habit of caution that had never truly gone away, despite the heartless' general inattention to heartless beings. A heavy blanket of silence had befallen the town, each footstep they made a loud reminder of how few of its inhabitants wandered outside with the heartless infesting their city. The barren streets meant few observers to witness their investigation of the heartless, which Xigbar appreciated.
The nobody stretched his arms high over his shoulders, before he lackadaisically folded them behind his head. A soft sound, like a set of sharp nails scratching against wood, echoed from further ahead of them. "So," he said, "since we're walking and all, how's it feel to get outside that dusty library of yours? It sure feels like you never leave that place." A roguish smile curved the corner of his mouth, and he barely restrained a laugh. "Except, you know. When you're being friends with Lexeaus."

The sun stood at its zenith that morning, its rays pouring warmth and light throughout the streets of Twilight Town. Xigbar raised a hand to shield the blinding light from his vision. He hunched his shoulders forward as he peered over the edge of the rooftop at the many citizens of the town bustling to their destinations. The nobody caught sight of a familiar black robe within the chaotic crowd, and he flicked his fingers at his side, calling upon his mastery over space to warp his location to an alleyway inside the city. He walked several paces outside of the alleyway, before he waved toward an unusual young woman bustling through the brightly-colored town streets. "Hey, kid," he called, his voice holding a false friendliness. "Yeah, you with the blond hair. Can I ask you a question?"
Number 2 is in charge!
“Number II. Because I am having a stressful time, I have decided to take a vacation for the week. Can I hand over the job of second in command to you for this time?” The weaker looking frame of the Diviner shifts uncomfortable, as Saix just wanted to go back into hiding right now. “Please?”
An amused chuckle escaped the nobody when he heard Saix's request. "I dunno," Xigbar answered. "I've got so many other things to do." He paused for a moment, before the corners of his mouth curled in a slow grin. "All right, all right. You wore me down, kid." He lightly patted the woman's shoulder. "You do what you gotta do. Don't worry about it. I'll get the mission assignments out on time."
[CM] The Dude's in Charge
Xigbar leaned his forearm against the oak doorframe. His wrist bent uncomfortably as he held the announcement paper against the closed door to the main common room in the Castle that Never Was. He secured the paper in place with copious amounts of ill-applied tape, before he slid his palm against the tape. The nobody stepped away from the door, and he rested his hands on his hips as he observed the announcement paper.
Dear Members of Organization XIII:
See the Superior’s second for all mission assignments and orders until Number VII recovers from her unfortunate malady. Saix should be back in charge around the 16th.
Anybody with questions should see Xigbar or Saix.
-Number II
Xigbar let a smile twist its way across his mouth. “That’s right,” he said, his voice lilting with amusement. "Good luck with this, kiddos."
.
The smirk dropped off the old man’s face as quickly as it had appeared. Xehanort narrowed his eyes, tipping his chin up to look down his nose at the Nobody.
“Allow me to rephrase. Terra and his place in my plans are not currently your concern.”
Xigbar leaned away from the keyblade master, and he folded his arms loosely over his chest. “Is that right? Well, then." The corners of the nobody's mouth stretched in an wide grin. "I guess that means his two little friends aren't my concern either. What were their names... Aqua and Ventus? I suppose you got them covered, too."
