the thing about netflix shadow and bone is that half of the time the crows are giving really inspired acting with a lot of depth and nuance that betrays a genuine understanding of the characters. and the other half of the time the writing for their lines is just dogshit cringe in a way that makes me want to curl up in a ball and disappear.
