obligatory christmas post

twit phoebe spent the day with her grandparents, just having a relaxing day to themselves. tate and liza came to visit for a short time, and when she went home later that evening dahlia was there! she said she knew phoebe would never visit her in sinnoh unless she absolutely had to, especially not in the dead of winter, so she took it upon herself to visit hoenn. they caught up on a lot of things and dahlia, i think, helped her sort through a lot of her feelings about what happened with sidney, and the recent incident with steven. it was a quiet night but she's feeling happier now after it.

tumbl phoebe had a similar-ish day, ft grandparents and a brief meeting with tate and liza. she talked to dahlia over skype for a while but the primary event for her was heckling steven, wallace, and glacia at steven's house. she gathered glacia because she knew glacia would probably be alone, drake was off doing his own thing, and stole wallace from his own family deal. the two of them were hassled into going with her to mossdeep to make sure steven didn't spend the entire day alone avoiding his family in favor of drinking scotch and doing his weird geology things. it was a noble effort and everyone exchanged gifts and had a cozy time. at the end of the day she even called sidney i bet, to wish him a merry christmas.

blue spent it at home with her parents in the sevii islands. she mailed out everyone's gifts, some of which were actual real presents, and chatted on the phone with green and yellow and silver. speaking of, silver spent his birthday on his own, not wanting to intrude of anyone's family celebrations and otherwise not having much holiday spirit in general. he got cards and gifts from the pokécenter but wasn't too concerned with doing festive stuff. he gave his team a day off from training, bought them some nice new items and treats, and they all hunkered down in mt. moon for the day to relax. i'm sure he spent some time on actual christmas day with his dumb friends, although he is really bland and unimaginative when it comes to gift giving. also sort of a grinch.

messy bun serena had a pretty big day. the museum was closed so she was able to be home from christmas eve thru today, visiting her mom back in vaniville. xander was home too, and she got to introduce both her mother and the hometown crew to charlie, whose parents live in london. fortunately, charlie wasn't a huge shock to anyone, as they've all been around xander enough to have an understanding of nonbinary genders; grace was perhaps a bit overwhelmed at first, but serena's happiness is more important to her than any traditional ideas about gender. she was okay with everything. charlie got on well with everyone, xander and tierno especially. they even took a ride on grace's rhyhorn, much to serena's extreme stress.

akagi failed to acknowledge that a holiday was even happening and just sort of did what he does every day of the year, which is mad science shit in his basement.

cyrus is dead!

and finally, barry!! he spent the first half of the day at home with his parents, driving his poor mother out of her mind having both men in the house at the same time. palmer is loud, barry is louder, and together they might as well create a sonic boom. it was very high-energy and she was so happy when barry finally went to visit hika and akira next door. he got akira a little piplup onesie and hika an empoleon kigurumi so they'd match and would not shut up until both were wearing their respective silly pjs. after dropping tha baby off they went back to his house, hika probably had to endure some palmerness, and they finally retreated upstairs to his room for a marathon of silly christmas movies!

on a brighter note, serena took this opportunity to wake up and tell me that she did indeed find a datefriend. their name is charlie and they met while serena was working her shift at the museum. charlie is very cute and i think possibly ace? is serena ace? who knows not me
