• he’s definitely not like. a complete emotionless void though. i’ve seen diluc to be described as sort of cold and harsh which a lot of the time he is, but to someone he knows well he’s just socially akward sometimes, which honestly fair enough

yet every mortal being to exist strives to impress the lifeless time. what drives them so, no one knows. pure instinct, perhaps? the fear of being forgotten?
an irrational fear. of course they would be forgotten someday. mortals were less than blips on time’s infinite journey. to fear being forgotten was like to fear death itself; inevitable, yet marvelously frightening.
you were worthless in the eyes of time, yes. you could chase after it for all your life and it would be to no avail, despite the long, long years ahead of you.
infinite were your years left to live, and infinite still was time, yet you had no intention to engrave yourself within it. a dent in an endless road. worthless.

• i feel like anything i write with childe will have my bias showing through 😭 dont get me wrong he’s a great character and i love him but also i hate him so much 😐
• but even with my intense dislike for childe can u tell im a diluc kinnie i cannot deny that he is probably one of the best brother’s you’ll get ; and i can say this from all the canonical evidence
• he has so many siblings he cares about dearly!! you’d think he’d be That Annoying Sibling but he’s actually so far from it?? his fatui side is so different from the authentic him it’s scary
• it really depends on how much younger than him you are; he’s the sort of person who can get along perfectly with anyone of any age
• for example, you can tell how he is with tuecer- a sort of adventurous guardian figure- is different from how he is with his sister, who is constantly worried for his safety, and thus she sees a more responsible side of him
• it’s honestly the fact that he can do this, being a completely different person to different people, that makes him both likable and scary to me
• it also makes it hard for me to write specific hcs for him, like all my prior sibling series, because he’d deal with different situations in different manners for different people
• say you’re in trouble with some treasure hoarders. if you’re legit terrifed and have no clue how to carry yourself, even if you theoretically know to fight back, he’ll come and save u
• but if you’ve declared you’d like to learn how to fight, just like tuecer did in his story quest, he’ll give u his support and won’t let you fall into his shadow
• and if you’re someone who’s almost on par with him, the two of you probably enjoy destroying those treasure hoarders together, make it a game, and then laugh about it as you walk away the stormed camp as though u just had a drink together
• he knows how to bring the best parts out of you!! and you mean the world to him, just as all of those he holds close to his heart
• he’d buy u anything the moment u ask for it. i’m sorry but no one in this family has any sense of financial awareness anything u want is basically yours with how rich he is 😭 he wont let u leech off of him tho LOL

you looked slightly hurt. "i convinced you to take a nap, don't you remember? i promised i'd give you a good dream, even if you only slept for a few minutes. did it work?"

"it worked," he said, getting up. "you have my thanks. but i do not wish to do this again." he teleported away before you could reply.
sometimes a dream could be too good, for then is caused you an aching heart when you found it to be false.

ei was no weilder of dendro, but around her flowers would bloom and branches would chime, bees would buzz and birds would sing. time was frozen when with nature, and frozen time was none other than eternity.
the only difference between the two was that the latter lasted forevermore, whilst the former, like all frozen things, could be thawed. she could not make a moment last forever, despite her dedication to eternity.
time was more powerful than celestia itself. and unlike celestia, she could not cut ties with it.
the bluebells looked up as she walked down the pathway. it was nearly noon yet the air was cool, crackling as it always did when she was tensed. it did not feel right to be outside of the plane of euthymia, but you and yae and traveller were right- she needed a change of pace.
change of pace. the word change made her uneasy... was she no longer the electro archon she used to be? she herself sought change, she, the god of eternity!
static pricked her skin, a result of her discomfort. she heard a slight cry, to realize you had been standing in front of her.
“ei! what are you thinking about?”
“what makes you think i’m thinking?”
“well, i’m nearly burnt to a crisp, and the air is sparking, and one of us is the god of lightning, and i’m quite sure that someone isn’t me.”
ah. you didn’t have the resistance to the element as she did. ei took a deep breath, and the plants seemed to breath with her. a little sparrow flew down and rested on her shoulder.
