mina wasn’t the finest on the piano, or when touching any other instrument. her strong point had always been dancing and nothing else but dancing. but during her short-lengthed period of being a trainee, mina had had the chance to try out some of the various instruments there was in the studio there, one being the piano and it was also a chance that it was the instrument she knew how to play the best. and luckily enough for mina, there happened to be one of those instruments in the mao’s apartment. not entirely sure if it was mao or her brother who was being the one who was interested playing the piano but when approaching the instrument in the living room, mina couldn’t help but sitting down by it and press some of the random keys until a melody was coming out from it. it was nothing advanced, possibly something she had learnt around the first piano lessons she had had.
throwing a glance over her shoulder, mina maaged to spot the elder twirling around in circles on the living room floor, a couple of sweet dance movements mina believed would be resembling ballet ( which the ballerina knew wasn’t anything like ballet ), it was either way endearing to watch in either way. “mao, you have a beautiful singing voice, right? i remember you did this youtube cover with your brother!” mina exclaimed and scooted to the side on the piano chair to make room for the other female, gesturing for her to sit down. “can’t you sing while i play?” mina tilted her head and pressed one key down to take the initiative to show a note and much willingly, mao did take the note as she began to hum along with the melody.
“and i will always love you,” mao sang out, allowing mina to play along with a wide smile over her lips. assuming that when someone was singing a song like this with as much emotion as mao did sing it must be a song which was beholding a lot of meaning for the other. perhaps she was singing it to a significant other, close friend, parents or even her elder brother, mina didn’t know, nor did she have the intention to ask her no matter what. whatever mao managed to do it was adorable in mina’s eyes.
mao’s singing was short-lived, possibly because they were off the melody and the tune was completley off, as well. but it didn’t stop her to get up from the seat again and start twirling happily around on the floor again, while mina was playing along as she always was. “that is right, minmin!” mao sang out to the melody mina was playing, and it all sounded a lot better this time around. “i will always love my minmin!”
