Masaomi awoke in a large, bright room, tied up to a chair. He looked at his surroundings, blinking with a groggy expression as he attempted to figure out what was going on. The lights hurt his eyes at first, and the voices he heard were muffled. Once he fully came into consciousness, he squirmed around in his restraints, attempting to escape.
“He’s finally awake!” a loud, obnoxious voice called. The blond looked up to a middle-aged man in a nice suit walking towards him. Seeing Masaomi cringe away from the sound, the man chuckled. “Your hearing and sight will be sensitive for a little while longer, until the drug fully wears off.”
“... Drug?” So, he had been drugged and taken somewhere. Did someone still have a grudge against the Yellow Scarves, and he would be tortured? The last thing he remembered was walking home in midday after visiting Izaya. “What do you want, and why am I here?”
The man moved his finger back and forth. “We don’t want you, kid. We want your boyfriend. You’re going to have him come to your rescue. And when he arrives...”
Masaomi looked further off, by the wall across from him, to see someone smirking at their hostage as he loaded a small handgun. The blond’s eyes widened as he realized the danger of the situation.
After some more meaningless talk that Masaomi didn’t pay attention to, he heard the voice of his lover through a phone. The man was holding his phone, and it was on the speaker option, so everyone could hear it. Before Masaomi could yell out anything, though, another person came up behind him and shoved a cloth in his mouth. The noises he made were muffled, and not enough to reach the phone.
“Orihara Izaya! It’s been a long time since we’ve spoken, you rotten bastard. You recognize my voice, don’t you? Hayashi Takumi, the guy whose business sales plummeted after you told those damn yakuza that we’ve been gambling on their turf. I’ve got your cute little boyfriend here with me, and he’s just dying to see you. Won’t you come visit him? I think he’s getting a bit lonely. Wanna hear him?” He gestured for the person be hind Masaomi to remove the gag, then held the phone towards him.
“Don’t come, Izaya-san! They have guns, and you’ll be outnumbered! I can escape on my own, so don’t worry abo—hnnf!” he was cut off when the gag was shoved into his mouth again, effectively silencing him.
“What a little hero he is, trying to protect the one he cares about. Anyways, come here within two hours carrying 150,000,000 yen in cash, or Kida-kun will end up with a bullet in his head. What do you say? Should I text the address to you, Orihara-kun?”
