"How about now? Do I look like I want to bust your nose?" Molly hissed lowly. Was this the time or the place for this conversation? Of course not, but god, if there wasn't something about this guy that took every last one of her nerves and cha-cha'd over every last one of them.

She'd warned him, hadn't she? She wasn't the best actress, but she would try to play the doting, adoring flavor-of-the-week, all the while wanting to wring his neck. All they had to do was keep their eye on the mark...keep an eye on the cameras and where security happened to be posted. If they kept up the charade long enough, maybe they might even get lucky enough to befriend the mark and be invited back into the inner circle. His reasoning and her own were likely different, but they both were looking for the same thing. She just had to get through it, one night at a time.

Molly took a breath, and instead plastered what she hoped was a smile of pure reverence. "Is this better, sweetheart?"
