“Why are people always hunting me for sport?”
That line? Honestly might be my favorite line from the Carmilla movie because I think people are gonna look over it a lot, people often ignore Kirsch’s character and we forget the shit he’s been through, not just the obvious things like his girlfriend dying or his best friend being an evil vampire.
We look at Danny and Mel as good people, and Kirsch too of course but, he’s right, they hunted him for sport, all of them really, and it clearly messed him up/traumatized him to the point where it’s one of his greatest fears/nightmares.
I’m just really glad they put that line in, I love Kirsch as a character, maybe I’ll do a more in-depth analysis of him but hey, that was a good fucking line.
