but the "behavior considered a mental health issue" that you're talking about, the examples that you gave was "biting people" and "eating dog food"

which first of all, one of two of those things isn't harming either others or the person themselves, there's plenty of "human" grade pet food out there, and as for the biting- I've literally never seen proof that that's anything but a bs accusation made up by antis or yk- done purely in consentual spaces- with consent

i am aroace because i dont want or need a romantic or sexual relationship, thats the only criteria for being aroace

i can still get crushes on people, its rare, but anyone whos experienced romantic crushes that ive ever talked to has agreed that no, wanting to be friends and viewing her the same as all the rest of my friends with the added "but what if she has a partner" is not the same as a "normal romantic crush"

i want a friend for life, i want a friend i can potentially marry and go on dates and live with without any romantic or sexual aspect to it and im complaining to you, not because im having a sexuality crisis and want you to tell me what my sexuality is and then talk over me when i tell you youre wrong, but because i dont know how tf im supposed to approach someone i want to be my queerplatonic partner and explain that

shes so pretty and cool and awesome and like wow but how tf do you find someone whos willing to date you as a friend

i want a partner, i dont want romance, i don't want sex, i want friendship, a lifelong bond, and someone i can lean on

third of all, you have zero right to be talking over me and explaining to someone who was genuinely curious about how im aroace but still get crushes that im "probably not aroace because aroace people dont get crushes" while i was actively tryna explain that it was queerplatonic and aesthetic because shocker theres other kinds of attraction that arent just romantic or sexual

every time without fail i get frustrated over people not knowing how to read their animals body language and anthropomorphising them and making stupid and neglectful or even abusive decisions because of that

guys it's really not that hard to not make the mistake of placing a hormonal mare and her brand new foal in the same pen with an obviously immature gelding, you cannot punish her for protecting her baby even if she and the gelding "are friends" and "wtf is wrong with her, he wasn't doing anything"

it's not that hard to not push your clearly stressed out dog to the point of snapping at a child, learn to respect the dogs obvious boundaries recognize when he's getting overwhelmed, and tell your kid he needs alone time

be better and learn to respect your goddamn animals jesus christ, you lot of absolute morons don't deserve ownership over a creature if you're not going to treat them like individuals and give them the respect of being mindful of their body language and ther boundaries they set

something about this sort of neglect has always bothered me so deeply especially as someone who identifies wholly as a nonhuman animal myself

animals are still owed respect regardless of whether you see them as lesser than yourself, if anything you should be even more mindful of their boundaries and needs because they cannot communicate the same way as you

i don't understand the unwillingness to learn

i am an animal, i am also autistic and spent more of my childhood in the company of theriform animals than i did humans, i have always found theriform animals much easier to understand than i did humans, reading animal body language has always been second nature to me and i have ALWAYS been careful to respect their boundaries

i don't get what the hell could possibly be so difficult about learning how to understand your pets so you can treat them better that you just completely refuse to do so

this is part of the reason I'm misanthropic, and im not saying alterhumans can't also be guilty of these things but from what I've seen it is majority orthohumans who do this
