I assure you, it’s not that big of a deal.” There was an amused smile on Matthew’s face as her replied, assuming he knew what she was referring to. “We talking about that Chemistry test from last class, right?” He asked, as he finished stocking his book in his locker and finally turned his body to the side to give her his full attention.

“Hey, blondie! You dropped this.” In a quick movement and two long steps, Matthew picked up a paper from the floor and stood next to the girl, smiling slightly. Was that thing hers? Probably not. But Matthew wasn’t beyond pretending it was just to strike a conversation with a pretty girl. “You are that new chick, aren’t you?” Considering how small Hawkins’ population was, every new addition was easily spotted. “Need a ride?” He followed the offer raising a hand with the keys of his car.

‘ this is bullshit! ’ matthew

“Calm down, we’ll figure it out. Or, I’ll do it. You just, don’t get into more shit.” Matthew said, keeping his cool. He had been kicked out of bars before, but he was never denied the entrance to one in the first place, and he suspected his company was the reason for it to happen that to him that night. They didn’t go to the bar together. They didn’t even know each other. But when he started insulting the bouncer and he tried to punch him in return, he couldn’t help but to intervene, getting in the middle of a mess that wasn’t his. He had all the intention of having a chat with the bouncer, even pay him a few extra dollars if necessary, but before he did that, Matthew looked over at Bender. “You should’ve dressed better.”

CHARACTER TASK 001: RELATIONSHIPS

Below the cut is a list of five different relationships in Rosalie’s life. These include: Matthew Hartwell, Sara Lancaster/Alice Diamond, and Shaun Donnolly.

Matthew Hartwell

1. Is their relationship Platonic or Romantic? Both. They started out as friends, Rosalie grew to love him and still does despite the growing rift between them. 2. How long has your character known the other? Rosalie has known Matthew, in one way or another, for just over ten years. 3. Describe their relationship in five words. Complicated, passionate, explosive, close-knit, advisor. 4. Best memory of the two? For other married couples, it might be their wedding day or their honeymoon or some other completely mind-numbing lovey-dovey concoction. But Matthew and Rosalie aren’t like most couples. Her best memory is coming home to find Matthew in their spare bedroom, instructions for a crib scrunched up at his feet as he looked utterly perplexed by pieces of wood. It was his expression and the way he sent her out of the room, claiming that this was men’s work that still brings a smile to her face. A man who was capable of conquering the world was undone by Ikea furniture. 5. A theme song for them. I’m Only Me When I’m With You – Taylor Swift 6. Their name for said character in their cell phone.  Matt/Husband ❤  7. A future head-canon for their relationship (platonic or romantic).

Romantic: Matthew would one day come to his senses and realise he loves his wife as much as she loves him. (But he is a boy and boys are stupid).

 Platonic: One day, Rosalie will be able to forgive him and be able to understand why he chose Nora. Then and only then, could she see them becoming friends again, much like they were before they were married.

Sara Lancaster/Alice Diamond

1. Is their relationship Platonic or Romantic? Platonic. 2. How long has your character known the other? Rosalie and Alice became fast friends when Alice arrived in New York eight years ago. 3. Describe their relationship in five words. Sisterly, complicated, strained, protective, comforting. 4. Best memory of the two? Their first shopping trip together. Seeing Alice balk at price tags was something that brought her great amusement, especially when she tried to hide Rosalie’s platinum card so she couldn’t buy her anything else. 5. A theme song for them. Army – Ellie Goulding 6. Their name for said character in their cell phone. Super Spy 7. A future head-canon for their relationship (platonic or romantic).

Platonic: It takes a long time before Rosalie can forgive Alice for her betrayal. But eventually, she does and rekindles their friendship. Alice is even made godmother of her son (Wren is not invited, so there).

Shaun Donnolly

1. Is their relationship Platonic or Romantic? Romantic. 2. How long has your character known the other? Rosalie met Shaun when she was just a kid. Her hair was still in twin braids and she was still playing with dolls. 3. Describe their relationship in five words. Inseparable, first love, life-changing. 4. Best memory of the two? As cliché as it sounds, to Rosalie her favourite memory of Shaun was their first kiss. It wasn’t the stuff of fairy tales, where everything narrows down to that one moment. It was in the middle of a crowded street, her hand in his and people bumping against them from each side. It was messy. Much like they were. 5. A theme song for them. Thinking Out Loud – Ed Sheeran 6. Their name for said character in their cell phone.  Shaun 7. A future head-canon for their relationship (platonic or romantic).

Platonic: In Shaun’s memory, Rosalie named her son after him. It was her way of honouring the person who changed her life irrevocably and finally gaining closure.

      Rain poured down relentlessly, wind gusted through the streets, and the older home thankfully stood through the chaos. Of course of all days a storm decided to brew, Luna had been in the middle of moving to her new home – well, old home, but new to her. With the help of Matthew, they managed to get most of her boxes unloaded along with a few pieces of furniture. They were both slightly exhausted from the labor, Matthew’s exhaustion a bit more obvious than hers from how much he seemed to complain about her “working him to death”. So, maybe the storm worked out to their advantage. They seemed to turn their attention on anything other than unpacking her things.

      After the power throughout the house occasionally flickered, Luna took it upon herself to unpack any and every candle she could find and scattered them throughout the living room. Better safe than sorry. Now here they were sitting on her living room floor, faces stone cold as they stared each other down. Luna gave him a menacing look, eyes narrowing. “You’re lying,” she spat out at him shaking her head. She threw down her cards playfully angrily. “I know you totally have the Queen of Diamonds. I am not going fish. Fork it over.”
