Ariel ran down the hill the minute she saw Finn. She was hoping to show the siren her newest do-hickey. There was a cork, pointed edge, and a spoon attached. She was beaming as she saw the other. The mermaid tackled the siren into a hug. 

“Finn.” She signed. “Look what I found!” The mermaid said holding up the pointed edge towards Finn’s face.

She threw the pieces of bread into the lake. Ariel saw someone do it, the mermaid wanted to copy. She threw another piece of bread, watching the piece of bread down. Why wasn’t it working? Where were the swimming birds? She turned around and was surprised to see Finn. 

There was a mute gasp before she hugged the other. Even with her situation, she wanted to see her favorite attendant. “I missed you.” She signed, the happy tears pricking her face,

The mermaid wasn't expecting a kiss. Finn’s kiss was so sweet and sincere, it almost reminded her the kisses-Ariel shook her head. She wasn’t going to think about him. Ariel didn’t realize that she was frozen in place until Finn looked at her in concern. 

Ariel smiled and kissed Finn on his forehead. She had to go on her tiptoes as she attempted to kiss the area. There were a voiceless laugh and hair pushing back. She began to sign. 

“Thank you Finn.” She kissed Finn’s cheek. Ariel pouted at Finn’s concerned face. “I’m fine I pinky promise,” Ariel said before reaching for his pinkie. There was a small reassurance for now. Hopefully, the mermaid can soothe the siren.

This was...silly. Was that the right word?  Probably. She’d had her string of super bad luck and now she was throwing caution to the wind. Let a dating app just decide her fate. Why not? Bellamy was anxiously waiting outside the establishment trying to just remind herself to go with it. It’d be fine. Not like she could have more bad luck than she had in the past. When she thought she spotted him approaching she straightened up. Here went nothing.

Call it natural curiosity when it came to the Mikaelson clan or perhaps he was cautious. Possibly both since his natural instinct to protect a home came into play. If they were causing trouble then of course he wanted to know where to put a foot down. “Nice afternoon, huh?” Marcel began, easing into a topic easily as he found no fear in approaching. Casual politeness would do.
