A view from my window 😀 A few plants that withstands my "care" The green one lets me know he is thirsty by gently fainting. And cactus are... well, they can live in a desert so my home is not that bad 😌😂 the bowl in a midle is a composition from forever green plants. No water. Stays green for 5 years and smell like sweet moss. What's on your windowsill?
Yes, hello, I want a beautiful forest maiden to meet me in a moonlit clearing and steal me away
'Rainy forest' by Aquilina-das
The Forest Maiden
Desirae was sick of her family treating her as an incapable invalid. Her brothers picked on her for her bad leg and her father wouldn’t let her do anything on her own. She wanted to be an adventurer, to battle monsters and travel the land. But she was forbidden from leaving the village. But tonight, on her eighteenth birthday, she would set out on her own. No more looking down on her, no more coddling, no more insults; she would finally leave it all behind.
Or so she thought. She had been walking for hours and the forest was dark. With only a bit of moonlight to light her way, she had tripped and injured her good leg. Now, leaning against a tree and wrapping her cloak tighter around herself, she wondered if it had been the right decision. Had her father been right?
“Are you alright?” She heard a melodious voice ask from somewhere close by. “You seem hurt.”
“Who’s there?” Desirae asked, looking around. She saw a beautiful woman step out from behind a tree and her heart skipped a beat. The woman was practically glowing, her soft green eyes watching the girl closely. Her matching skin was beautiful in the moonlight and Desirae caught sight of sharp ears sticking out of the woman’s long flowing blonde hair.
“Do you need help?” The woman asked, moving closer to the human girl.
“You’re an elf.” Desirae said, her eyes filled with wonder.
“Yes, I am.”
“I’ve never met an elf before. I didn’t know if you were real.”
“Of course we are!” The woman said with a laugh. “I am called Talianis, but you can just call me Tali.”
“I’m Desirae. I fell and hurt my leg so I was just going to rest here till it got better.”
“There’s no need for that.” Tali said, bending down beside the girl. “I can take you to my village and you may rest in a proper bed.”
“Oh! Is that really ok?” Desirae asked, surprised by the offer. She had heard elves were quite hostile to humans and secretive about their villages. She’d never been sure if they even existed before today though.
“Of course. I’m sure you’ll get along well with my daughter as well.” Tali said, sweeping Desirae up in her arms and beginning to bound through the forest with the grace of a deer.
She awoke in to the morning sun streaming in through the open canopy above her. As she looked around she saw a room much like her own house but carved entirely from a tree with only branches and leaves as a roof. Tali was on the other side of the room preparing some sort of breakfast while another elf was sitting a few feet away from Desirae, staring at the girl.
“You’re a human? Weird. Thought you’d be uglier.” The elven girl said with a puzzled look on her face.
“Emi, stop being rude to our guest!” Tali reprimanded the girl and pointed a kitchen knife at her. “You should show respect to guests.”
As Emi and her mother bickered, Desirae smiled and took in the scene. Tali was a beautiful elven woman and her Emi was just as amazing. She shared her mother’s green eyes and blonde hair but her hair was cut short, barely coming past her ears. Emi noticed the stare and glared at the human girl.
“What are you looking at?”
“Sorry!” Desirae apologized, looking away. “You’re just so beautiful I couldn’t help but stare.”
Emi’s ears reddened and she covered them quickly and stammered out something about needing to go help her grandmother before rushing out the door.
“I told you that you two would get along.” Tali laughed as she handed Desirae a bowl of assorted fruits. “Now, I’d like to ask to ask you to help her.”
(Author’s Note: this will be a fairly long story with some parts potentially containing no romance. I know, how awful. But I assure you that over the course of this story you’ll see adventure and romance and action and magic and most importantly, lesbians. So if that’s your type of story then I hope you’ll enjoy this one and stick with me till the end.)
