Oh my fucking God.

I've been trying to guess what all the early accessors meant by "different from what they've expected". Well shit.

I mean it's kind of a reality check. Because since Clive and Let Die we've only ever seen Gordon from other people's perspective. Even when listening to his memoir, it was still mostly about Warren and Warren's perception. And of course, as a caretaker, he would not be seen by the other characters as someone who needs to be taken care of. Especially not Warren, unfortunately.

The writing and acting are on top as always, of course. The way you can understand the struggles of every single character and justify their actions is just- chef's kiss. Really liked Grace being called out on his new amazing habit of pretending to know people he abused. Love the man, but he needs to stop and realise that while he had time to grow old and change for the better, Gordon didn't. And we all know Gordon had it bad with his attitude back in the day.

But Gordon. Oh my God my sweet hurting Gordon. I need him to stop saying "it's alright" when it clearly isn't. The guy has a lifetime of people pleasing, anxiety, neglect, and bullying for who he is. But I'm so glad he's finally speaking his mind. I'm so glad he makes it clear that he does, in fact, have a problem. He doesn't let anyone close enough to help him, but still.

I fucking knew that fuck ass angsty "I don't think anyone knows anyone to be honest" line from Warren did not slip. I fucking knew it hurt bad. These people can't watch their mouths for the life of them. Gordon is allowed to say whatever he wants to whoever he wants though. Give my man a mic and a stage and let him roast everyone who's ever wronged him.

All in all I have a slight suspicion that Gordon didn't become depressed because of the hypersleep magic that turns people depressed. I think what hypersleep did was stripe him of everything he's ever known, including hiding his emotions. People tend to not recognise themselves when they stop pretending.

Man I can't wait for the next part, this show is amazing, I've been rightfully obsessing over it since 2021 non-stop.
