So (villain) Kiri's new Verse is called Champion. Since you know League, I can give a brief explanation. She's like Sett without the mommy issues.
So basically instead of arriving at the fishing village to grow up, Kiri is tossed into underground fighting. She starts off as an errand runner before being allowed in the ring. No one really thought much of her during her first fight, she was nearly beaten when she turned the fight around last minute and won. Ever since she's been the underdog in the ring and has won her handler quite a sum of gil.
Kiri now, as reigning champion, is a wild card. She overthrew her handler when discovering they were cutting her share of earnings and made a name for herself alone.
Besides underground fighting throughout Eorzea (maybe even Garlemald?) She also earns a reputation for being a mercenary for hire. She's been on both sides of the conflict and sides with any party willing to pay the most.
In this verse she is not a dragoon but is familiar with other forms of fighting.
