adding new character : jayce talis from netflix's arcane. in celebration of cam's viktor ( and all of his lovely muse ) coming alive. the only canon divergence i have is that he didn't die at the end, thanks 👍

❛ hey – you sure you're okay ? ❜
@so1arflesh, one liner starter call 🌿
I have mixed feelings on the Arcane finale, but if there's anything I appreciate, it's the fact that it hammered home that Viktor never needed to be saved from his disability. "Your imperfections are an inseparable piece of everything I admire about you" is such an incredible dialogue tbh. Like, idk as a disabled person I love that it was specified that his disability was not why Viktor needed to be saved; he needed to be saved from his own mind, certainly - from internalized ableism and this fruitless drive to start the genesis of a world without pain or suffering. but not from his "imperfections".
there are valid criticisms to be had for EVERY character in Arcane, that's the point. no one in this show is wholly good or without fault, and that's what makes them all so compelling.
they're all messy, they're all complicated, they've all done bad things or made bad mistakes.
so i really, REALLY, can't understand the level of hate and vitriol given to jayce by this fandom. god forbid the boy make a single mistake and then get ripped apart for it even after he legitimately apologized. he spends 90% of the show getting problem after problem dumped on him without getting a chance to take care of one before another gets dropped in his lap. he gets put into a position he never wanted, and ends up being used as a scapegoat for the council not having to deal with 200 years of negligence and fuck-ups.
"wElL hE hUrT tHe UnDeRcItY aNd NeVeR fIxEd It"
did y'all even watch episode 9? or pay attention to how 90% of that episode was jayce trying to make amends for the harm he'd caused? you don't get to shout at someone to do better but then completely ignore their attempts to actually DO BETTER and say "actually no you're irredeemable, you're not allowed to get better and learn and grow".
