#right now it's take me back to eden by sleep token but years ago I did the same thing with that one marianas trench song.#which was it? it wasn't masterpiece theater III. that slaps all the way around. shoutout to that one warrior cats amv lmfao #throwback.#but. god. which one was it???? it was another one of their songs that was like ten songs at once for no reason #FOUND IT. I'm not a superfan who knows every single song.)#but I LOOOOVE that one portion. neutral about the rest of the song honestly but that one part is my favorite.#usually I don't care much for when men who aren't michael jackson do the falsetto but it works in the second part of that section.#he sounds like he's about to ask Annie if she's okay but it works. the MT lead singer has a good range.#and my usual dislike isn't some restrictive gender thing. it's a ''the vocals sound more shrill and strained with lower voices'' thing #like this isn't me being shitty and going 'oh but falsetto is for women' or whateverthefuck to be clear #it's just that people without the MJ skill for it LOVE trying to do it in songs that do not need it with a range that doesn't hit it imo #but it works for MT. and also what do I know?
