i don’t think Stiles would ever get used to the petnames Derek has for him. Stiles probably has hundreds of nicknames and endearments for Derek, but whenever it’s reciprocated, Stiles suddenly gets flustered.

blushing hard as hell when Derek says, “whatever you need, mi amor,” or “anything for you, mi vida”. suddenly giggly when Derek reaches out to touch him, telling him “be careful, bambi” as they trot around the preserve. hiding his face in Derek’s shoulder when he wakes up to Derek’s, “g’morning, my love.”

all of it reminding Stiles that this is his reality. that Derek is actually his and he is Derek’s. that he’s found love and comfort in someone he’d never imagine spending his whole life with and yet here they are, mated for life.
