Brilliant idea for an analog horror main character. Imagine their anomalous abilities and psychological torment don’t work. It turns out the MC has super autism for monsters. Like they just want to analyze their behaviors and anatomy and study their bodily functions. Instead of being scared or sickened by these creatures they’re unbelievably fascinated and enamored.

Imagine them staring up at the thing in awe. Taking every opportunity to get as close as possible. Taking pictures and drawing it and theorizing what each part does. One step away from jumping on the thing and being like “Whats this do? And this? How does that work?”

The creature eventually gets fed up
