Autumn is her already favorite season, so the sight of all the autumn-themed options tempt her a lot. Her former self, the one that became forced to dance endlessly with time, never really thought she would get to experience another season. So much has changed for her, but the beauty of autumn still stirs something within her heart. The soothing scent of pumpkins mingles with the sweet aroma of caramel to create a warm atmosphere. Homura wished she could stay in this comforting moment forever. Homura used to think all coffee in the world was bitter when she was really younger, but she eventually learned that coffee came in all sorts of types.
She had a preference for the sweet and warmer drinks. What did surprise is that Nagisa wasn't going to shoot for the cheesecake options. Did she not see those options yet because of all the pumpkin options? Is it possible that she had a refined taste for anything relating back to cheese? ...Was she banned from cheese unless Mami was around? She isn't sure which of her thoughts are correct, but it did slightly amuse her that Nagisa knew about coffee.
❝ Well... Shall we get a little bit of dessert as well? ❞ Maybe it's a good thing that Mami is not around to see them. She feels a twinge of guilt for wanting something that wasn't made by Mami's skilled hands. It almost felt like cheating, really. Cheating on Mami's baked goodies, that is.
It has been a long, long time since she had the pleasure of being in Mami's home. They were all still... trapped in that wonderful dream, were they not? Being able to remember everything, including the grim memory of what Kyubey had done to her, instantly left a nasty taste in her mouth. She planned to distract herself by enjoying something sweet in their present, peaceful-looking time. The past may try to shackle her back down, but she will try to look to the present. Nagisa looked absolutely excited for the arrival of autumn, so Homura planned to not ruin her joy.
She wants to join her, even if their peace will eventually shatter.
