OTA | Eye Test Wolf 🎈🏠
From the edge of your vision, the wolf appears. DO NOT LOOK AT THE BALLOON. If it comes into focus, the wolf will see you. Your only hope is to squint to see the house, else it will begin its approach, distorting until you are consumed by it.

Before hopping on the free shuttle bus 🚌 home, we stopped by at Polar Puffs & Cakes to buy some pastries. They are having a buy any three pastries for S$6 promotion. We bought three of the Chicken Pies which usually cost S$3 each. My family likes the flaky, buttery pastry 🥧 and the taste of the filling.
The Time Given
Sun Wukong x Reader
(Prompt - Offer)
(Happy Valentine's Day!💕)
The throne room was quiet and empty when you entered, an uncommon sight amidst the constant chaos of Mount Huaguo. Only Wukong was present, seated on his throne in full royal regalia. His cheek rest against his fist while his sharp eyes stared off in distant thought. A small, ornate box was balanced on one knee barely visible under the clawed hand draped almost possessively over it.
“You…wished to see me?” you spoke hesitantly.
Wukong’s gaze snapped to you in a flash of gold. “Yes.” He sat up, formal and looming, the dim light casting shadows over his unusually serious expression. “There is a matter I must discuss with you.”
It suddenly felt less like a meeting with your husband and more like a summoning before the king. Swallowing down the nervous twist in your stomach, you nodded and crossed the room to stand before him.
“Is something wrong, my King?”
He stood from his throne and descended the stairs, box still clutched in one hand. The other reached out to caress your cheek, soothing your worries.
“It’s nothing to fret over, Peaches,” he assured. But the accompanying smile was weak and didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Simply an inevitability that’s weighed on my mind for some time now.”
“Which is?”
He sighed, long and regretful before meeting your questioning gaze. “Your mortality.”
Ice cold dread trickled down your spine. It was something you tried to pretend didn’t burden your thoughts or fuel your self-doubts in your darkest moments. You knew your husband; knew all about his hard-won immortalities that left him untouchable for countless centuries. But you were still tethered to the mortal coil; your marriage to Wukong didn’t change that. And though he claimed to love you, human or not, the ramifications of such a difference clearly concerned him more than he let on.
“Is…that a problem?” A wave of mixed emotions threatened to clog your throat and fill your eyes with stinging tears. But still, you held your head high and fought to keep your nerves and voice steady. “Have I grown too old? Or perhaps less appealing to you?”
The monkey blinked in stunned surprise before bursting out into chittery laughter. Such a response would have usually upset you but seeing him so mirthful lifted the ominous cloud that had settled over the room since your arrival. With a final chuckle, Wukong shook his head in disbelief and pulled you into a comforting hug.
“You are as captivating and desirable as the first day we met, my Peach,” he said, nuzzling his brow against yours. “I vowed to love you for the rest of our lives and I never go back on my word. But your years will be much shorter than mine. And the thought of being without you frightens me more with each passing day. I wish for you to stay by my side for all time but I’m not selfish enough to make that decision for you.”
The box was held before you; a tiny, ornate chest with blooming branches carved into the polished wood. The latch was undone and the lid was lifted to reveal the treasure hidden inside.
A peach. Plump, heart shaped, and perfectly ripe. The delicate white and blushing pink of its fuzzy skin almost seemed to glow against the velvety cushion. You reached out to touch it but hesitated at the last second, sensing something more behind the offered fruit.
“Where did you get this?” you asked suspiciously.
“The Celestial Palace orchard.” He rolled his eyes at your horrified stare. “I didn’t steal it. I still have friends in heaven that owed me a few favors. No trouble will come from this, I promise.”
You looked between him and the peach, piecing together it’s meaning. “Why?”
“It can give you immortality; long life and health beyond mortal constraints.” His gaze was both adoring and ancient as he spoke. “I know this is a lot to consider and it is not an offer I make lightly. Immortality comes with its own host of complications I wouldn’t subject you to without your blessing.”
It was overwhelming, having the possibility of countless years, an unending lifetime, suddenly thrust upon you. Confusion, excitement, and uncertainty all whirled through you like the winds of an emotional storm. Wukong noticed your distress and cooed in understanding. His hand carefully cradled your cheek, soothing you with a comforting touch.
“There is no rush,” he murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips. “You can always wait and decide when you’re ready. Just know, whether you choose to remain human or continue as an immortal, I will respect your decision and stay by your side no matter what.”
The box was closed and handed to you, placing the fate of your future in your hands. “The choice is yours.”
