getting emotional again over how book!grace didn't even have a window on the hail mary
My Lara posts have been lacking so here is some cosplay! of Funkos sort of unvibes it, but it's more me 😂
i think the ml fandom really needs to take the phrase ‘with great power comes great responsibility’ a bit more seriously
it’s like the single most important part of being a superhero and the distinguisher between using power for good and letting it corrupt someone into a villain, someone who uses their power to bully, or intimidate, or blackmail other people.
being a superhero is work. it’s a responsibility. people’s lives sit in the palm of a hero’s hands and if the hero decides to take a sick day, or ignore their team, or bugger off out of the country with no notice and no guilt, there’s no coming back from that.
if gabriel had akumatised someone in paris while marinette and the rest of the class were on their way to london, marinette would’ve been able to use the horse miraculous and come back. adrien? honestly he probably wouldn’t even notice. alya might tell the train that someone was akumatised in paris, but like. adrien mostly would just go: ‘darn. guess i missed my chance to creep ladybug out. oh well. she’ll fix it.’
adrien would not feel bad. he would not feel guilty for leaving marinette alone to deal with the akuma. he wouldn’t feel bad for not telling marinette. he wouldn’t feel guilt full stop.
adrien does not feel responsible for paris. we’ve seen this again and again and again. virtually every episode. he spends every fight ‘flirting’, or sacrificing himself without a care, or pouting and making things harder for everyone.
gamer 2.0 has possibly one of if not the worst moral of the entire show.
‘adrien is right. having fun being a superhero is more important than being responsible uwu’
i mean, we’ve already seen plenty that adrien doesn’t give a shit about a single one of his responsibilities. he doesn’t care about being a hero, he doesn’t care about showing up to his photoshoots, or his fencing lessons, or doing his piano practice. if he’s unsupervised every semblance of ‘responsible good boy adrien’ goes out the window.
anyway.
being a superhero is a responsibility, it’s a job, it’s a duty and adrien treats it like a fun, inconsequential game. if he screws up, marinette fixes it. if he, say, breaks bunnyx’s miraculous, marinette fixes it. if he akumatises someone by being a jealous little shit, marinette fixes it. if he decides to opt out of a fight because ~sacrificial love uwu~, marinette fixes it.
the creators have already said marinette can’t be akumatised so we’re never gonna see adrien pull his thumb out of his butt and yknow. actually contribute to the team. we’re never gonna see adrien fix anyone’s problems or care about anything except himself.
No animals are inherently evil or bad!! They’re animals!! Stop applying human values and morals to them!!
Before I decided therapy would probably be a good idea...
Any of you got a special houseplant in your life? please give me pictures. I love plants so much but have no space for more. Share your plant with the class.
