I'm not good at drawing yet, but I have yet to see a certain type of posing done that leaves me absolutely feral. A pose of someone--human, but whatever gender you want--lying up against someone/something much bigger. I mean, almost completely horizontal here. Along the ground, or in a cavern. Somewhere that is not a place for rest but is now by necessity. An arm cradles them close, so large it could lift them up. The human's face is nestled, perhaps their own hand is touching the chest of whoever holds them. The human's clothes may be torn up. Maybe they're dirty and scratched up. And they're asleep, sound asleep. But I want this larger thing to be grotesque, monstrous, eldritch and potentially poisonous in some way to such a fragile thing as a human. Yet here is the only place where this fragile thing feels safe enough to sleep.

Hello my sweet darlings!

I know I haven't been really active that much here lately (especially when it comes to writing or reading fics). But I definitely haven't forgotten about all my darling oomfs, don't worry! It's just... There's been so much going on lately, and I still need to guard my mental health a little bit to make sure it doesn't spiral again...

But enough of that! I am here to wish all of you sweet darlings a very merry christmas! I love you all so much, and you truly made, and still do!, make my life a lot better! I appreciate the outpour of support I got from everyone when I was in such a dark place a little while ago... And now that it's christmas, I am remembering how much love and support I got from all of you, and I am truly thankful for that!

I hope all of you are able to spend your holidays exactly how you want to, and you will enjoy them! Maybe in a small group of family or friends, maybe a big group of people, or maybe even alone.

If these days are extra hard for you, please remember to be extra kind to yourself, as the rest of the world seems to move on without caring about you. And if these days do awaken such feelings in you, please remember that I do care, and I am here for you! You are always allowed to message me if you want to talk during these days, about anything!

I need you to know your Dominus and Minimus fic has been stuck in my head ever since it came out, genuinely one of the best fics I’ve ever read and I’ve been obsessed with the potential of their dynamic so much

I realize this is INCREDIBLY late and I'm sorry for that - I'm a bit behind on things on Tumblr!

I'm so glad that Precipitation Conditions stuck with you! I was so nervous, both because it was my first Big Bang event and also because it was my longest finished fic by far. The process was stressful but rewarding, and I feel like I learned a lot!

I was very excited to build something IDW 2005-influenced that wasn't entirely beholden to IDW, but which would hopefully be recognizable enough, generally, for readers to feel comfortable in it. It allowed me to take Orion's personality, for example, in a direction that I really ended up liking. And it allowed me to explore Ultra Magnus in a way that put him under familiar but different pressures.

I love secret identity stories. The complicated nature of Minimus and Dominus' brotherly relationship, as set up in this fic, was really fun to explore. I have a sibling, and my relationship with them can be a little complicated at times (though obviously not quite in the way that Minimus and Dominus experienced) and I kind of drew from that, a bit.

Minimus Ambus has always fascinated me as a character in several distinct ways that I was able to write about in Precipitation Conditions. The idea that he can take on and off this large body, this different face, and how that must feel when he interacts with people is so crunchy for me to think about. The way his mind works is interesting, too; I drew a lot from how my own brain works, just turned up to 11, when writing from his perspective!

We know so little about Dominus in IDW canon, so I was able to build on him in ways that felt interesting to me, and which also served the plot that I was trying to construct.

Their relationship became so interesting and complex; it was a great experience to write, and I'm so glad that you enjoyed reading it!
