AU idea i have that im actively writing about.

Basically, Dick gets (somehow) put into an alternate universe where most everything has gone to shit. Or, that's what he likes to think. all this is with the original richard. i could either write about THIS universe's richard, or the one that gets dropped in. poll at the end of post.

below is au info.

Jason is "dead". Tim becomes robin. his parents die. Bruce takes him in as another ward. Bruce fires him, claiming he 'gives up', and renounces his custody. Dick takes him in, gaining custody of the (14-15 year old) kid at the age of 21. Then, Damian comes around. He goes and lives with Bruce for a week, maybe two, three, maybe a month, then Bruce disowns him without explanation, leaving him on a street corner in gotham. When Tim comes home with a hungry child one day, Dick (eventually) finds out it's Damian and ends up taking him in (and gaining custody) as well.

Back to Jason. He's alive, but everyone's under the assumption that he's still dead.

Another little bit, Bruce has began to "work alone", and has also started claiming Gotham is "already dead". He also won't answer any attempts at contact from Dick.

my two cents.

people here who say "but some things should be cencored" are WRONG.

"But Atticus, what do you think about incest? Or war? or sexual assault? those should be censored too no?" No. no they shouldnt be. censoring things is a one way street with a 100mph speed limit to making people afraid/unable to talk about it. if you make it so nobodyCAN talk about sexual assault, then nobody WILL.

I personally believe that things should have trigger warnings instead of being downright censored.

look at the uk government right now, their new censorship laws isnt only blocking porn, but also lgbtq resources, and ive heard firsthand accounts about how it's also blocking reaserch into war [specifically gaza and ukraine] and resources for drug addicts, my friend has had entire subreddits blocked from them.

i might even go as far as to say that censorship s how propaganda is spread. if you cant access the reaserch into gaza, then whats stopping them from puttting up things you CAN acess thats just straight up lying and saying things like gaza have obliterated isreal? [not true]

and to go one more step, i'm almost done i swear but this is following on from my last point, thats how they convinced germans to particpate in world war two. its literally propaganda. its how its always worked and they'll keep trying to do it. If theyre sucessfull, they'll do it more with more research/resources/PEOPLES OPINIONS. this is quite literally censorship in its worst form.

so to summatise: censoring one thing that you dont like or agree with is a slippery slope to censoring everything and hiding genuinely true resources that people NEED. you are capable of moving on from things you dont like.people cant find resources if the government iself is hiding them.

Hey anyone, are there like any tags like #self-harm tw or #suicide tw on the social media platform/website/app Tumblr because when I tried to find them on Tumblr so I could complete and edit a post that I am trying to post on the BFDI and II community that got removed by a moderator and it said this “Inappropriate behavior Please add proper warnings for posts involving suicide and/or self-harm. Put posts like this under a readmore and tag them as #suicide tw or # self-harm tw.” on Tumblr with my overlordzarc Tumblr account I couldn’t find said tags so then what tags are similar to them that I could use for a post that I am working on on Tumblr?

i have so many himym opinions for someone who thinks ut’s an awful show

anyway:

i HATE what they did to robin past like… season 1 jsjshshs. and maybe a little bit season 2? like idk WHEN the switch happened exactly, but s1 robin is by far my favorite version of her.

like: robin started out as SUCH a grounded character - in direct contrast to the idealized romantic fantasy ted was projecting onto her. she was new to the city (the country, actually!) , ambitious, career-focused, and independent. she wants romantic connection but doesn’t like the restrictions expectations it holds and is a little set in her ways. and her independence doesn’t make her misanthropic or completely hate other women - she has some issues with internalized misogyny (re: victoria, when robin’s jealous if her and ted), but i will repeat! she does not hate other women! the first time we meet her she is out with a group of women! she and lily make fast friends! and even with victoria - she encourages her to follow her heart and that it’s okay to pick ted over the fellowship if that’s what will make her happy. she also Does Not lie for ted when victoria calls when robin and ted are about to hook up - because!!! he!!! lied!!! that victoria broke up with him!!!)

like, she is (to me) one of the most realistic and sympathetic characters early on. and ignoring all the wild backstory stuff (the teen popstar stuff was a funny gag ONCE, the “her father wanted a boy and raised her as one” was never funny and felt like an unnecessary way they were trying to explain why she’s not acceptably feminine - not in presentation but in the things women are expected to value - and they didn’t need to do that! she can just have different priorities!), they also just completely exaggerate all of her traits and she ends up feeling like a cartoon version of herself by the end. (granted, this is true of all of them, but i’m most bothered by robin.) end of series robin DOES hate other woman. what was once a dry and acerbic wit becomes often mean-spirited. she becomes simultaneously “tougher” and more insecure (you cannot tell me s1 robin would have fallen for barney’s manipulative proposal ploy.) her independence and ambition is framed as something bad because she’s lonely and reminiscing about a guy she hasn’t dated for years (and has rejected multiple times at this point) like some sort of narrative punishment for following her dreams and not realizing what a “nice guy” she once had.
