this got me through Hell Week last time so trying to see if it works on, like, baseline bad times. ya know, queer joy and all that shit

they have the same multichromatic shift!! it’s distracting enough to look at, much less try to contort my hbd for a decent photogtaph. i give up!!! i’m on a real blueberry kick, enough that i might actually follow through on a coworkers rec and sally forth into a dunkin for a blueberry coffee. hyperfixation whomst

for once the minutiae aren’t getting between me and inordinate pleasure with my pairing for redemption arc: rotten bananas becoming bread. i actually wore a little each of both night flyer (yes in public) and chiropterophilia. others so far have preferred the former but i can’t smell the pretty thing they all seem to, all i get is mineralic dankness (and ??something?? that makes me think of mica-flecked streambeds specifically). the latter is all floral and a bit of fruity; it would be toooo much on its own but together? ~a vibe~ yes i am drawing nepenthes hemsleyana why do you ask

all fired up is a black/blanc (<33) thermal and my initial ‘oh i’ve got this’ turned into dismay at how many fragrances are annoyingly nonspecific about which pine they are evoking[1]. anyway this is supposed to smell like hemlock (i presume t. canadensis my beloved) and black spruce (semiserotinous? i’ll take it)

ok i judged my weird lil man harshly for not being the grimy aquatic[2] of my dreams, and also for not being grimy at all, but he does smell very pretty and somehow my lil sample is halfway gone?!? [2] one of my other disappointments has gotten at least a lil funky now that it’s settled, so i may have a layering solution

also i found this duck on the couch?? possibly it was inside one of the boxes?? or not??? either way i guess i have a lil pink duck now?? ah, fatherhood 🥲

i'm aware that a large portion of it is just the fact that i'm 26 years old, but i do also think one of the reasons i struggle with a lot of mainstream lgbt+ media aimed at teens and young adults is due to just how fast everything's moved since i was in high school
