I love how Damian and the gang in this ep. It's making me smile how wild their imaginations, and being dramatique af, because, they're kids!!!

And also, I love that this ep reminds me of that forest adventure of Damian and gang went in the manga. It makes that arc hit harder rn because of this ep. It really shows how Emile and Ewen REALLY CARES for Damian way before that forest adventure. And just like the forest adventure, this ep too shows a glimpse of Damian being a 6 year old kid, not someone pretending to be mature from his own age

Yup. I also think they are prepping and padding the episodes so that we can focus on the characters and like them even before their actual manga episode center-piece comes along. Damian is a crucial side character and by the time, if they followed manga timeline comes around, it would be WEEKS . Visually he needs to become more familiar with the audience.

I like the way the anime adds to the manga without detracting anything from it. This is how one does adaptation. If one has to invent, invent in a way which reads true👏🏼( unlike , say CQL or Go/T ..ugh)

Damian being best buds with Emile and Ewan, How both Emile and Ewan have so much hopes for him not just because they want to suck up to Damian but they genuinely care about him. They are just some bunch of goofy boys in the end, not hateable Trio with Draco from HP like J/rk would write. This is what I like about the manga and anime. The creators never forget these are all children. There are no "good" v/s "evil" child here. They are not some cardboard 2d villains for us to dislike so Anya can look cool punching down on them. We are supposed to root for all of them to be happy🎊( esp Damian who is underneath all his bluster is a sad child who wants love)
