quark is so. fascinating. he's really in the same character class as spock, and worf. in the sense that his position on the show is really to be a ferengi, and he is what we think of when we think ferengi, but he's not very comfortable or successful in ferengi society, despite his best efforts

you think ds9posters are exaggerating about the miles/keiko/kira throuple and then you watch it and they are not exaggerating

tng is like watching a workplace comedy with ethics instead of comedy. ds9 is like watching a political drama from a country you've never heard of. voy is like watching a road trip movie with really high stakes.
