Ok having aroace Grace and Bloodmary be the dominant (lacktherof) ships is so so impressive from a fandom standpoint, now that I’ve seen the phm movie. That whole “I’m seeing your underside now/I’m seeing many sides of you” comments, learning how to ‘hug’, GOING BACK AND RISKING NEVER COMING BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL HOME FOR SOMEONE, the end beach scene hangout, ect. is what I’d traditionally see spun back into it all being romantic and shippy, as I often see in fandom culture often times being hell-bent to have a main fandom, popular canon ship(s). And no the prevailing hcs is this man is aroace as hell or (sometimes and) involved in a crackship with a bloodied criminal from a completely unrelated movie.

I just feel so fucking sorry for Gansey in the dream thieves. I mean the people he loves the most are just falling apart beside him and *he's* the only one responsible or aware enough to 1) bare the brunt of their fall and 2) pick up the pieces and put them together. Like the amount of carelessness Ronan treats Gansey with is heartbreaking. Adam is also so out of his mind with rage and envy he doesn't even see how much this hurt toward gansey's unwarranted. And poor boy is a little condescending, yeah, but he just wanted have his little family and build his little world of scholars and adventurers with his friends. I mean, in a way he's kind of laying on the bed he mande - I do think Gansey was of the mind that he could /maybe/ somewhat solve his friends problems with unconditional support by absorbing them into his makeshift reality which is very kind-hearted of him but also, unfortunately, kind of self-centered. And then this lack of mutual understanding, made worse by Adam and Ronan's attitudes, is just digging deeper and deeper into their friendship. Where I am in the books, I think the only way for the group to survive would be to let the boys go- to let them fight their own fights without someone to cover for them when they fuck up or to bear the brunt of the stress when they can't take it anymore. When Gansey learns to see people for who they are beyond his hopes for the part they'd play in his own future, and Ronan and Adam learn some fucking basic consideration (as well as many other things that need to be looked at) then maybe they could build this little world, each one with their own contribution instead of them trying to fit what gansey's imagined

thinking about how five, out of anyone, was the first (besides diego) to acknowledge lila as family — “she tried to kill us, like yesterday!” “like i said, family” … granted, they do try to kill each other not long after but do come to a mutual understanding (friendship? hate… ship?) and throughout the season, though he’s usually drunk, five allows her into his personal space (and really, you could argue that it’s really the closest he’s let anyone since getting back).

it’s just! they really are two sides of the same coin, and the similarities don’t just stop at both having powers and being assassins. technically, they’re the only ones who might understand the other the best of anyone and yeah. i think it all checks out.

(not to mention. five considers diego family, diego considers lila family, so blah blah transitive property = she’s included under the umbrella’s umbrella. and also. proof five is just all bark no bite)

Do you think that Gwen and Courtney are ever going to be featured in this and make up?

We most probably will see Gwen again. Will we see the two makeup... I don't know. This fic isn't about them, and also my fic is kinda canon compliant, sort of? At least I'm not changing anything that happened in the show. This is not a rewrite fic! But it's not impossible we don't see them makeup, though it'd be far into the future. And also not sure it'd happen on screen, so to speak. I think if they makeup after All Stars, it should be a private, honest affair. And then Cody hears about it later.

It’s pretty rambly lol but they touch on a lot of really good points, esp when they compare the character development from the first two films and how the writers completely trashed all that for the third movie and I just. It’s so true I was shook

I think you must have some low standard to say that the relationship between the 2NE1 girls as goals. It's not hard to be friendly and polite between each other. The 'all girls hate/jealous each other' is BS and there are plenty of girls who get along well without being super close and willing to defend another from harm, physical or verbal.
