What do you think of the reconciliation of Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng that is confirmed (post canon) in Lan Wangji's letter?

I am (somewhat obviously given the many thousands of words I’ve written on it) deeply invested in the yunmeng bro reconciliation! I don’t think it’s necessary and I do think that it was an excellent call on mxtx’s part to leave it where it is at the end of the novel—but I like it.

I like the idea of them getting to reconcile both bc I project like an overhead all over these siblings and *I* want reconciliation that I’ll never get and bc I think that both wwx and jc want it and I am nothing if not self-indulgent about fictional characters!

And the idea of them getting to a point where Wei Wuxian has a new home where he is able to settle more and be healthier and happier than he has been AND Jiang Cheng is a regular visitor who has gotten to the point where lwj is only mildly snide and not aggressively avoiding any acknowledgment of his existence?? Yes Please 🥺 I am weak. Dámelo por favor i neeed it

That said, it doesn’t actually change my usual feelings bc it just is like. A treat. And doesn’t cause a material change in how I engage with the source material 😅

would you ever consider nixing the TMC tag from hail, true body on ao3 entirely, and replacing it with ‘original works’?

I mean this truly when I say your work has brought me great joy and helped me make many friends, but I can understand where you’re coming from in regards to the AU. I do still feel like you have put enough of your own heart and soul into it that it could be functionally considered its own separate thing.

It wouldn't feel right to do that currently as the story still has TMC character names and places in it and I am unable to commit the time to overhauling all of it due to work, health, and life commitments at this moment in time. However, I may consider doing that in the near future - removing the main fandom tag but leaving all the character tags in as they are. I might posit that option to the readers in the end notes of the next chapter of Good Samaritan to see if people would prefer I do that.
