Richard M. Fierro and other patrons of the nightclub subdued the gunman, saving “dozens and dozens of lives”

Richard M. Fierro and those yet to be named are heroes.

When the gunfire started, Fierro said that he looked across the room and saw the shooter standing at the door. “I ran across the bar, grabbed the guy from the back and pulled him down and pinned him against the stairs,” he said.

“I grabbed the gun out of his hand and just started hitting him in the head, over and over,” Mr. Fierro said.

He said he yelled for other patrons to help him. A man near the shooter moved the rifle to safety. A drag dancer kicked the gunman with her high heels while Fierro continued to beat the attacker’s head while blood pooled around them. When police arrived, Fierro said that the shooter was no longer struggling.

I haven’t done a lot here on this platform, but I promise you that I am doing my best to make your people’s voices loud and clear on my other social media platforms! I can’t do a lot of donating, but I’m streaming videos, signing petitions, and spreading the news as much as I can.

It truly has been a painful week for you all as you still continue to fight against the oppression that has lasted for hundreds of years. I have also noticed what has been going on in other places of the world, and it just continues to add onto the stress of everybody else. I wish we could do so much more for you guys and for them. I wish there was an easy way out.

At first, I called this a political problem, but it so obvious that it is a humanitarian issue and I regret my initial thoughts. I personally have never experienced racism myself (I live in a very diverse city in Canada), but I know that it still happens, and I’m ashamed to say that only until now, I’ve always been quiet about it for fear of the responses of my peers.

I am very lucky to have the privilege of the Law actually protecting me, and it breaks my heart to see how many lives have been risked or lost before, during, and even after these protests because those who are orchestrating the Law are against them.

I am also hoping to shed light to my irl friends about what’s going on in the other parts of the world, especially in the Philippines. I have family and two very important online friends there that will be affected by the bill they just passed, and I personally want to thank you for even mentioning it.

The world needs help, and I believe our generation will be the ones to give it. Just know, Anon, that I love you very much. I don’t know who you are at all, but I love you and I wish for you and your family’s safety. Take care of yourself.

Right wing political commentators and hosts who spend the majority of their time going on about how LGBT people deserve less rights, should be denied services, are predators and pedophiles, and should be suppressed want to separate themselves from the violence inspired by their rantings.

But they cannot and we will not allow them to be. They are a part of the news media, it’s their job to inform. And they chose to inform their viewers that LGBT people are beneath them, that LGBT people are degenerates, and that LGBT people want to molest their kids and “turn them” trans.

They framed the existence of LGBT people as a threat that needed to be eliminated and a problem to be solved to millions of people. To me, it doesn’t matter if they never explicitly said they deserve to be gunned down.

They basically boast about how it’s okay to hate LGBT people, just don’t act on it. And that’s not good enough.

Their hatred killed us. It continues to kill us.
