I got a notification on an old post about the Top 5 DC ships I’d make canon if I could. I feel it’s interesting to revisit this every couple of years, see how much I may or may not have changed. So let’s dive in.
1) Kara Zor El & Lena Luthor (Supercorp.) The O in OTP. Comics, DCU, MAWS, I want it all.
2) Diana & Zatanna (WonderMagic.) Namely in Absolute but definitely wouldn’t be opposed to it in main continuity (once the Tom King run Days of Future Pasts itself out of the way, hopefully taking Steve back to the grave with it.) I multiship Diana with a lot of people and I will continue to do so until the day I die. I went back and forth a lot between who I ship her with the most at the moment and I think right now, because of Absolute, Zatanna just beat out Artemis for me (still love Ditemis though.) Mostly I was surprised how much I fell out of love with WonderCheetah since the last time I did this. I still like them, I still would take them being canon, but I think I’ve grown to love the tragedy of them more? Sorry…
Also, know that I’m limiting myself to one each for Kara, Lena and Diana. Easily could’ve given them a bunch of ex girlfriends (or girlfriends in other continuities.)
3) Jessica Cruz & Simon Baz (SimonJess.) I’m allowed one non-canon, het pair and I miss them. I’m also annoyed because My Adventures with Green Lantern is happening STARRING Jessica and I should be ecstatic about that, and I mostly am, but they’re making Kyle Rayner be her boyfriend. I like Kyle, but I don’t like him with Jess.
4) Stephanie Brown & Cassandra Cain (StephCass.) Tim has Bernard, Bruce has a history with Ghostmaker, and Barbara and Dinah can’t stop flirting in every Birds of Prey Run ever. Yet if it weren’t for Kate existing and sometimes kissing Renee, whatever StephCass have going on would be the gayest thing going on in the Batfamily (affectionate (they should kiss.))
5) Donna Troy & Koriand’r (DonnaKory.) Every Wonder Woman should be a girlkisser, almost especially Donna with as tragic as her love life has been (tragic in the actual sense of the word but also tragic in the “dear god, stop pairing her off with these men” kind of tragic.) And while I’m indifferent to Dickori, I’ve wanted Starfire to kiss a woman since Justice League Odyssey. She and Jess can be exes (as Jess has to end up with Simon) and I would’ve liked it if Kori, not her brother (or some other Tamaranean; I don’t remember), had been the one to kiss and recharge Kara in Andreyko’s Supergirl run. But mostly she should kiss Donna.
