This was not how she had expected her life to go, not by a long shot. Not even ten years ago, she was a promising law student with hopes of having an apple pie life. And here she was, standing before the devil himself, full of confusion, elation, and terror all at the same time. The logical portion of her bred the confusion, unsure of just how this could happen. Intellect and disbelief raged a battle inside her mind as she ran everything over.
Of course, there’s things that just aren’t possible, but when you’re a Winchester, you know that list is rather small. That deeply-rooted, unspoken piece of herself which longed to procreate was where the elation stemmed from. And that fear, oh how she feared what would come of this very moment. She stood before Lucifer, her hands visibly trembling as they rested on her lower-most abdomen, where a little life lay growing inside her - a little life that would prove to be the most powerful, most sought after entity the universe would ever come to know. She did not really know what to say. There weren’t really any words to say, other than the truth.
“Lucifer...” His name is but a breath off her lips.
A tear slips down her cheek, unable to hold it back for it stung too much.
“--I...” She was choking on her own words, as if they were lodged in her throat.
“...I’m...” pregnant, sorry, scared...
So many things could follow it, and she wanted to blurt them all, but couldn’t.
