i'm having trouble being comfortable w/ people commenting on my appearance, even positively, using words that i don't associate w/ myself; or i'm having trouble w/ people commenting on my image/not commenting to my face; or i'm having trouble with i don't know you and maybe any comment from you has the tang of a threat(?) or association with i owe you something now; or maybe those words just aren't important to me (but they are) (but i don't know how to walk around with those words attached to me, unless i'm applying them but for different reasons than you are); or maybe it's that i'm not comfortable publicly responding to positive comments bc accepting them means ~vanity~ and that's bad; or maybe i know this particular angle makes me looks smaller; or maybe i don't understand/understand too well the ways i can configure this weirdly angled fleshy thing to please/not please; or idk, i'll probably respond with default enthusiastic appreciation in the end and go back to loving this weirdly angled fleshy thing until i'm face to face with versions of it that are out of my control
