Sun with a lil tooth gap <3
This started as me wanting to draw fluff for Logan after the new asides….
Sorry Logan!!!
so i was editing something when
i listened to pink steven yell, you hear this like.
it wouldn’t be fare fetch that we’ll hear this when steven goes worm on a string on us in the next episodes 👀👀👀
In Theory of Prose Shklovsky begins with the function of art: Quite simply, art aims—in a phrase made famous by Joseph Conrad—to make us see. Through routine and repetition the world has grown gray and dull: people who live near the seashore no longer hear the waves. Automatization, writes Shklovsky “eats away at things, at clothes, at furniture, at our wives, and at our fear of war.” “And so, in order to return sensation to our limbs, in order to make us feel objects, to make a stone feel stony, man has been given the tool of art.”
Art's chief technique for lifting the scales from our eyes is what is called, in Russian, ostranenie. This has been variously translated as “defamiliarization” or “estrangement” (...) Art makes the familiar strange so that it can be freshly perceived. To do this it presents its material in unexpected, even outlandish ways: the shock of the new. Literary theory studies these distortions, the divergences that create “literariness.”

obscure chinapuri theory #2
(partly inspired by @chinapuri‘s comment on a previous post!)
So I was thinking about how Tian Zilong’s name literally means ‘dragon child’ and then, wait: (no this post is about Yuqing not Haiguang)
If Chinapuri was filmed/released/aired around 2018/19 and assuming the ‘timeline’ is accurate, the 18 year old third years in 2018 would be born in 2000. In the Chinese zodiac, 2000 is the year of the dragon.
Here’s the interesting part: originally, Echizen Ryoma’s name was supposed to be transliterated into Long Ma (龙马), the same name used in the Chinese dubs. Long Ma literally means ‘dragon horse’.
Small S2 tidbit
According to an article I just saw, the first episode of S2 will be titled, "Right Back Where We Started”
That's all I know right now.
