Taking notes for my public health class and saw an opportunity to make a reference to my fav book series :)
“I used to believe that you and I were destined to be together someday, and that we would have this great, epic romance.”
One eyebrow ticked upward. “Wow. No pressure or anything.”
She squirmed, her body was vibrating with nerves. “I know. I’m sorry. I think you might be right, though. Maybe there isn’t such a thing as fate. Maybe it’s just the opportunities we’re given, and what we do with them. I’m beginning to think that maybe great, epic romances don’t just happen. We have to make them ourselves.”

[27/50] pictures of → Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes
Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was an American singer, rapper, and songwriter most known for her role in iconic girl group TLC. She was the group’s main rapper and most frequent songwriter, penning her own verses, and was responsible for coming up with the group’s professional nicknames: Left Eye, Chilli, and T-Boz. She always claimed that her nickname came from mocking “a guy’s bad pickup line”–that he was attracted to her left eye. Left Eye had a troubled and dysfunctional life both personally and professionally, beginning in her early childhood in an abusive home with alcoholic parents. In her adulthood, she was placed in a halfway house for alcoholism after being charged with arson when she accidentally burned down the home she shared with her abusive boyfriend. However, after treatment, she adopted two children and died while in the process of setting up an 80-acre educational youth center in Honduras. She died in 2002 at the age of 30 in La Ceiba, Honduras, when she was thrown from her rental vehicle. A documentary called The Last Days of Left Eye chronicles her final trip to Honduras.
Merry Christmas Laura (@tyblacktorn)! I hope you enjoy this edit of the greatest brotp there is, Cinder & Thorne, and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
“I can see that you’re in need of an accomplice,” Thorne said, straightening his jumpsuit. “And lucky for you, I happen to be a criminal mastermind.” She glowered at him. “Go away.” “That’s a difficult request in this situation.”

“Soon, the whole world would be searching for her--Linh Cinder. A deformed cyborg with a missing foot. A Lunar with a stolen identity. A mechanic with no one to run to, nowhere to go. But they will be looking for a ghost.”
