Frank's story is pretty much the same as other hunters who are new to the life.
It always starts with a tragedy.
His family died to a pack of werewolves. A hunter came too late and Frank barely survived the attack (never got bit but suffered major blood loss from the slash marks he sustained).
He spent months in a coma until he woke up and made his way home by leaving the hospital by himself (forcing a janitor to drive him there). He managed to track down the hunter that was there that night and begged him for the truth. Which kick started the bloodbath that followed as he hunt down every member of the pack.
Now he just hunts most of the time. Always keeping to himself.
The hand atrophy will be a thing here. Sooner or later, he won't be able to be a hunter anymore.
