I'd just like to add a couple rules to my AU before I do anything else, since I've gotten a couple of messages referring to such!

This AU is for mutuals only, since there's no real application!

Not everyone in the AU is part of the FF! I have some ideas for specific characters that I will gladly share!!

things about this au!

1. Not everyone is brainwashed--Naegi is because he willingly agreed under the pretense that it was just an experiment. Togami and Kirigiri aren't either; Togami because the world was basically given to him and he is the co-ceo or whatever, and Kirigiri due to her unwillingness to be experimented on, but her compliance with the Foundation.

2. Asahina, Fukawa, and Hagakure aren't a part of this organization--it takes place after canon timeline, so Fukawa is with Komaru, Hagakure is doing his Hagakure Light Novel shit, and Asahina has seceded from the Foundation in favor of opposing it's warped values. In short, she's a rebellion leader (and since she opposes the FF they're like 'hey she's despair we gonna kill her etc etc.)

3. Some people from the first game are in this just because they can be. I have to think of an explanation for that sometime.

headcanons

Many of the Foundation's rooms double as bombs with higher ranking officials possessing a 'skeleton key' that detonates every single one.

Naegi's is a plain gold ring on his ring finger; when held to a panel on the underside of his desk it activates and leaves a 60 second time frame for escape (just in case).

Naegi goes nowhere without being trailed by sixteen bodyguards and a SWAT team, due to his newfound publicity endangering him from those in despair.
